    Just saw the boxscore.

Dear God, did Shandon actually only play 12 minutes?

No wonder the Rockets lost. I'm surprised it was so close.

Obviously I didn't see the game. Looks like we played, what, six or seven players? Three or four players with significant minutes?

I forgot to check: did Walt even play?

The idea that this team can compete, in this offense, without an inside presence (No, Mo does not count) is laughable.

We need a big man and until we get one, we're f^cked, that simple.

Funny thing was (or maybe not so funny) that I was watching the game on and off at work before a coworker and I stopped to watch the last few minutes.

I made a comment about how I like Bullard and thought he seemed like a cool guy, but I would be grateful for the day when we would be deep enough to not have to have him in at crunch time in the fourth quarer.

No sooner were the words out of my mouth when Bullard rotated off LaFrentz and he nailed a three. Then, of course seconds later Bull missed the three. My coworker just started laughing.

Ah Bull...you've been a loyal Rocket. But I'll be glad when we put you in only because we're looking for a few threes...

You're right man. I guess that the Timberwolves, Lakers, Spurs, Sonics, Sixers, Blazers, Bucks, Jazz, Hornets, Kings, and Cavaliers are all ****ed. (Denver beat all of those teams, too)

Jesus Christ, dude, calm the **** down. I know you're pissed, but this is just one game. It's a game I badly wanted, too, but the ****ing season isn't over.

Or, hopefully, he could go 10 of 20 for the game. I am not gonna dog cat about this game, that's futile. But any player taking 20 shots in the first half is not good. If Cat goes 0 for 20 in one half, his butt should be on the bench.

I know you are exagerrating, but you get my point.

Could Rudy have called a timeout to put Rogers in as a defensive sub ? I didn't see the game, so please don't flame me.

Obviously I am exaggerating as well. This was just an annoying loss, and I know the season isn't over. I like to take out my anger by bashing the Rockets after a loss. WHEN they beat Philly tomorrow, Cuttino will be my hero, Rudy will be the best coach in the league, and the Rockets will be making a serious playoff run.

Yes Mango, thank goodness you posted that about the Kings.

    How old is Webber? 27?
    Or Divac? 32?
    Nick Anderson - 32
    J. Williams - 25
    Pollard - 25
    Funderburke - 30
    Jon Barry - 31
    Stojakovic - 23

So I guess if that's a young team then the Jazz are the second youngest team in the league.

Denver is playing like one of the top teams in the league right now, and they are 18-3 at home! They are a good team right now, whether you admit it or not.

And personaly, I used to like your posts, but you have just absolutely become pathetic lately. Teams don't win all the time. They aren't perfect. And how can you expect us to improve drastically with so many players out? Every time the Rockets lose a game you flip out. Relax. We are a young team. Do you know how long it takes on average for teams to rebuild? It usually takes years. Years and years of cellar dwelling, etc. In less than a year and a half so far, we have already turned our team upside down from one of the oldest to the youngest, and had to deal with just one really bad season. Most teams deal with 4 or 5 at least. The Rockets show more chemistry than most teams in the league. Let me put it to you this way-- you are acting like a spoiled baby who expects his team to be a championship contender every year and win every game. It doesn't happen that way. But let me tell you-- we are an organization dedicated to winning and we are giving everything to do it. But with young players, you can't expect to win every game, esp. on the road, without your center, against one of the best home teams in the league. Accept the facts man-- we are an excellent young team who rebuilt faster than any team that I can remember. You just can't expect to win every game at this point, and if you can't accept mistakes then I suggest you go bandwagon with the Blazers or 76ers-- you'd be a lot happier there. And as Mango said, if you have to complain, at least get the facts straight instead of exaggerating the truth into lies like you normally do to try and prove a point.

denver is on a hot streak right now, and i believe they have a much harder schedule in the second half of the season. i dont expect them to keep this up much longer.

Yes I know I was acting like a git last night. I don't know why, but that loss was more frustrating than other losses. Maybe it was my feud with NugzFan. [IMG]
Cat, you make a good point. My bashing posts were pathetic. Nothing will take away my opinion that the Rockets are underacheiving, but some of my posts really were crap. I know the Rockets aren't natural born losers and that Cuttino isn't a little boy, but they sure do play like it sometimes.
I can't guarantee that I will not bash Rudy and Cuttino again, though. I still stick to my point that if you don't like my posts, you don't have to reply to them.

Now, about the Kings. No they are not young THIS year, but they were in 99 when they lost to Utah in 5. They didn't have guys like Nick Anderson and Doug Christie back then. Back then, it was a flashy Rookie point guard and a PF shooting 45 percent from the line. Vlade was the only seasoned vet. They still made the playoffs. The Rockets should easily be at the level of the 99 Kings. Who knows? Now that the toughest part of the schedule is behind them, maybe the Rockets will make a playoff run. Still, there were so many mistakes in yesterday's game, I have doubts.

See, I told you things weren't that bad! [IMG]

We all want championships every year, but you got to take the good with the bad. Like HeyP said in another thread, if this year is eating you alive, you should have been around in the late '80's. There were many nights I wanted to kill Ralph Sampson. I remember one game in particular. Dream was out with an injury, and Sampson told Bill and Calvin before the game "I'm going off for 30 points and 15 boards tonight" (or something like that). He then scored 33 points and 20 boards. I was furious. The same thought kept running thru my mind..."If you know you can do that when you want to, why don't you want to EVERY FREAKIN NIGHT???"

If you think winning two championships, then fighting to win another is hard to take, try losing one and not fighting to win another. That was hard.

Mango, you have to take out all carriage returns from your code. For some reason, the bbs moves carriage returns above your html code when it renders it.
