I can't believe that the grizzlies are on the brink of a conference finals

grizz are not rag tag. Gasol is an excellent shooter, rebounder, and defender (one of the best centers in the league), Conley is just slow to mature but he's approaching his true potential, Z-Bo was always good just on horribly run teams (and immature early on in his career), and Tayshaun is a champion

not a roster of "rag tags" there. but I like them where they're at. there's no quit in them, but I'm also biased b/c I'm a huge defense guy

i'm hoping for a little physicality out of that series...scoring isn't everything -sometimes a squab is worth the price of admission. Heat Bulls anyone? Tech city, tech tech city bia

Great things happen when you get rid of Rudy Gay...

i think a pacers/memphis finals will be a breath of fresh air.

will be great for the NBA..2 small market teams fighting hard for the championship...built the right way.

Prince isn't giving them much. Gay would have helped down the stretch. Once he get contacts he should hopefully improve his shooting.

Great defense and unselfish team basketball is only boring to people who only choose to watch in the first place to see dunks and hero-ball, since ESPN "top ten plays" and video games have taught them to expect such crap.

Teams built on defense, teamwork, post play (!), rebounding...

    It would be glorious.

But hey, as you can tell from my name, I'm biased.

yeah this is more true: that the grizzlies trading gay helped solidify the offensive focus on the key people: Zach, Marc and Conley and Prince can in and helped by adding a little defensively and keeping the turnovers low with his ball-handling.

rudy gay never really fit into the grit and grind grizzlies so that probably helped.

Yeah, that would be a boring matchup, but at least I don't dislike either team.

Are you discounting what the Grizzlies are doing? They're very much like the Detroit Pistons, where every player on the team understood his role to the fullest. One of the best defensive teams I've seen in a long time.

Well, not only will they head to the WCF but "what" will finally be correct in his prognostication.

Once the Thunder are eliminated, ... wait for it ...
Rudy Gay and Durant will be on exactly the same level (vacation).

Hey, Zach Randolph, why is Marc Gasol so tough anyway?

"Marc's from Memphis man," Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph said. "Marc's tough. Marc played [high school and AAU ball] with all the guys from the ghetto, from south Memphis to north Memphis. And now he's been around me."

I cannot trust someone who says he's fans of the Rockets and the Titans. The Titans? Are you freaking kidding me?

That 2000 Super Bowl was the first football game I watched after the Oilers left us. I couldn't have scripted a better finish to introduce Nashville to the Oilers level of choke-ability. I think it's hilarious that Houston people followed that choking, loser franchise to Nashville only to get more of the same.

The Titans are the Oilers through and through. Thank the gods that we threw all of that history into the garbage bin and started over.
