Is Phi Beta Kappa a big deal? Just wondering cause I also got elected for membership. I thought it was just another honor err...money making society.

It's damned impressive what he's accomplished, but the poor kid is gonna be destroyed in the real world.

What makes this kid any less ready for the real world than the rest of us. Seriously. 50% of us will get divorced. 70% of us will have a mid life crisis. 100% of us will fall for a scam. 50% of us won't save for the future. 99% of us won't be remembered for anything important at all. 100% of our children will rebel against us. This kid will be as ready for life as the rest of us. If anything, his failures will come earlier than ours, and his failures will make him a better person at an ealier age.

He'll be OK. There have been tons of other prodigies that have been successful and have done excellent things with their lives.

And reading the article it seems like he is pretty mature already.

Wait until he discovers girls. Then we'll see how far he gets. It seems the brain gets a bit preoccupied once puberty kicks in.

Yes, but he COULD still get a PhD in female anatomy.

I wonder if they teach that on University of Phoenix Online. Better go look...
