SF at least played with heart and passion, that is why he is loved in H-Town. I wish him the best of luck on whatever he decides to do as for playing in H-Town that will never happen.

Heart+passion+zero intelligence does not help any basketball team

    He done.

    Shall I elaborate?

Not a PG, no longer an athletic marvel, and not a situational player. He might look nice in an Armani suit standing at the door of the Bellagio, though...

Steve Francis??? Really.. O gosh. I loved his game but I doubt he has heart to play. It seems like he really isn't motivated to play. I mean its been 3 years since he hasn't really played ball. You expect him to come back here and be the savior hahaha guess again. BTW #3 is taken :p What other number could you possibly see him in.

With great love to you Steve! You will always be a Houston Rocket 2 me. SF3- Stevie Franchise. Hope to see you back on the NBA court somewhere, proving all your naysayers wrong. If not, I'll always remember your fire, passion and excitment you brought to Houston. Ahh, the good old days, at this point I really wish I could have them back.

Until the guy says it himself, Steve Francis is not done. I'm pretty sure we're going to hear news about him when training camp time nears. If not on the Rockets he will get on some other team. People knock his IQ and what not but his game has grown if you just look at the last run with the Rockets, he was hustling, making smart plays, playing defense and even showing some of his old and 1 drives and this was all while battling a bum quad. That was his most recent play. Compare it to the play that haters knock him on which was during his younger days when he was the go-to guy.

At this point in time Francis can be a Jason Terry at best, bench spark and starter when needed. His love for the game and hate to lose attitude can fire up whatever team he is on and he will play his butt off. He can still drive and finish to the rim with the best of them when healthy and draw fouls. Amongst all the cons that he gets flack for, it is the pros that'll keep him in consideration of NBA teams.

It's seems he is working really hard, i hope some team give him a chance.

Not a bad thing to be honest. Steve has lost the flame, but he was always dominant on pure athleticism...and that is bound to be the first to go.

He couldn't adapt, but he sure was fun to watch back in the day, and made the immediate post-Hakeem years a little less depressing. ;)

Dang, if Travis Diener or Anothony Carter can play backup, I don't see why Francis shouldn't get a shot by another team.

Even if his explosion is gone, I'm sure he can manage bringing the ball up and setting things up a little bit. If necessary, I bet he still break some ankles.

I am undoubtedly a Steve Francis fan. I'm more of a Cuttino Mobley fan though.

Those teams had incredible heart and were fun to watch every night.

You could always expect a few lobs to Cato, Walt Williams making a few triples or knocking Shawn Bradley down, Cuttino taking over almost every 4th quarter, Moochie dribbling out the shot clock and somehow nailing a bad shot and Pig Miller and Carlos Rogers picking up the mess from time to time.

    I loved those years.

I love the team now, but some teams are more memorable than others.

I'm excited to see what the AB/Scola/Landry/Yao* future brings.

If you don't get it now, you probably never will, or you didn't have the love in the first place. ;)

It was the combo of Mobley and Francis that made them great I think they would have gotten alot further into the playoffs than Tmac.

Doesn't this thread belong in the dish or in the trash or someplace where they keep re-treads or has beens? Can we finally lock this thing or send the original poster into rehab? Next he is going to suggest we bring back Bob Sura. We are probably still paying him. He can keep Steve company on the inactive list with plantar fisc#*$$%*. Sad thing is, Sura would probably be ahead of Steve on the depth chart while they occupy roster spots we could be using for serviceable players. Am I ranting? I'm done

Man that video was good and brought back some good memories of he and Cat bouncing up and down the floor. I don't understand how anyone that like Von could not have liked Steve.
