You know what I believe? I believe that we are witnessing the birth of the next great NBA team. Not just a playoff contender, but a playoff juggernaut. We may not win this year, and probably won't but the team is gaining so much confidence and so many young guys are learning how to win that I believe next year and the next 5 or so are our years. Not to mention that TMac has learned that he does not have to do it all himself, but more importantly the other players have figured that out too. This team is going to be a force for the next several years (barring injury of course). Who knows what will happen this year, good chemistry and team play can overcome a lot, but without Yao I think it will be tough. Houston JUGGERNAUT Rockets.....watch out NBA, here we come. DD
That's exactly how I feel. At this point, other than a complete collapse down the stretch where they don't even make the playoffs, I can't imagine being too terribly disappointed with the way this season ends. It'd be different, obviously, if Yao wasn't hurt.
Looks like simply every Rockets' fan has exactly the same vision. It's is great to be right there, it really is. I belive, really !
I have said it before. I am saying it here again: Even if we do not win a playoff series this year, I would still be damn proud of this team. Yes, this streak is something you want to tell you grand kids that you were there when it happened. And yesterday's game was the epitome of what is happening. Your star center is done for the season. Your other star is exhausted and struggling to find his shot. But we still beat the freaking Lakers by double digit. Defense and team defense, and different players (yesterday was Rafer and BJax) making huge shots. That's the story. When Yao went down, I said it's time to test the character of this team. Wow, they didn't just pass the test, they got an A+!
