T-Mac and Kobe were the best swings in the league in the post-Jordan era bar none. You're hating/delusional if you fail to acknowledge this with your infinite basketball knowledge. They were compared on a daily basis for over 6 years - it was that close.

To try and ridicule someone - then go farther and take what was said out context is just utter stupidity. It's juvenile, but I've come to expect no less from you.

Either you really are that juvenile or you're incompetent to the extent that you don't understand fairly simple statements. Next time you attempt to rag on someone make sure you read what you're quoting - only solution I can think of.

They were compared to show you how much better Kobe is than T-Quack.

Its not close at all. Kobe comes up clutch, he plays both ends of the floor, he stays strong, he's durable.

You can't just put Matt Harpring on him to stop him in the playoffs.

    Hahahaa!
I don't remember anyone comparing T-Mac to Jordan.

Oh, and wasn't Kobe the guy who at the start of last year wanted to be traded? I remember, 'Trade me because I don't have Shaq to carry my ass'.

if we had Jordan, Yao would be gone.

any time yao lost a crucial rebound or missed a layup instead of dunking it home jordan would have mercilessly road yao. look how he and pippen made it their mission to destroy kukoc when he came over as an "international" star. jordan was a dude who didn't respect white boy steve kerr until he took a punch from him. what would he think of mellow yao as anything but SOFT

jordan wouldn't have tolerated the media attention on yao taking away from himself and would never have allowed any coach to entertain the notion of the office flowing through yao or another player in any way

basically if we had prime jordan we'd have an entirely different team, different coach.

every noob brings up jordan this jordan that but tmac other than being a preternaturally gifted black player doesn't really have a lot in common with jordan. jordan versus kobe yeah you can make a comparison (the mid 90s jordan at least... earlier in his career jordan seemed intent on trying to match the power of dominique wilkins) first of all tmac is more NATURALLY gifted in almost every way than jordan... everything from his longer build to his more natural stroke

a better comparison for prime tmac is clyde drexler as smooth slashers. clyde was actually once compared to jordan and in some areas had better physical tools. iffy/streaky outside shooting and 2nd tier competitiveness/work ethic also compare to tmac

At THE absolute VERY least, the lowly only expectation we the fans have now of this team, Michael Jordan would have gotten this team past the first round.

Jordan never played with a dominant center, not that it'd really matter. Jordan, Artest + Yao this year would be a 65+ win NBA Champion.

    Amen!

And regardless if he's hurt or has the flu, Jordan wouldn't quit on defense.
You hear anything about Bulls fan saying Jordan 'quit'?

Yeah. Whatever % of you Tmac fans believe he was close to MJ are embarrassing all of the Rockets fans and the entire city of Houston and the entire human race.
