that cliche is flat out wrong. i'm not saying i have to go out and try to get with every woman i see, trying to find one that's compatible. but if you're on the market, you have to make yourself accessible. you ever bought a pair of shoes you couldn't see? me neither. i agree that i need to get over her, but i don't plan on my life coming to a screeching halt in the meantime. i have needs, too! i need companionship, sex, someone to talk to, someone to hang out with, etc. and, yes, i need love, as well. now, i'm not going to go out like eddie murphy "wookin for nub in all da wrong places". however, i am going to give myself a chance to be happy with someone...including being happy with and by myself. where's the homie lover friend when you need her?
I wasnt criticizing you, I was giving advice. Remember this: I know I probably dont know much about relationships since I have only been married continuously to one person for over seven years and all of your relationships have obviously been super-d-duper. Perhaps this advice is more fitting:
cute. i asked for your advice, you gave it, and i responded to it. i don't see anything wrong with that, and it doesn't necessarily mean that i won't take it. i pointed out why i don't see the merit in your advice. maybe if you helped me to see it, i might agree. is that too difficult for you to understand? as for my relationships, man my relationships have largely been successful. rarely have i broken up on bad terms, only once have i been left by a woman (this time), and most of my exes would gladly say that i definitely know how to treat a woman. straight up. (pun semi-intended) dysfunction, i don't believe, describes my relationships. oh, and as for your marriage, congrats. it doesn't make you dr. phil, but congrats nonetheless.

not much to say 'cept hang in there man! remember, there are ALWAYS better fish in the sea. and you know what, each day you're single brings you closer to finding the one truly meant for you. a girl broke my heart in my freshman year of college. i thought it was the end of the world... and i was depressed for 3 years. but i got over her. and have been far stronger ever since. and guess what, just about every girl i've dated since, have been WAY WAY better than that girl... she is too blind to see the good in you? it's her loss. her own poor taste. her own inability to appreciate what's really good in life. and you know what, she ain't worth one more second of your precious time. move on! tomorrow you may meet the women of your dreams, and you can be happy in the knowledge that this b**** won't be around to cramp your style.
This is great! Watch the newest South Park. It's about Wendy breaking up with Stan, and Stan thinking his world is going to end because of it. I won't give away much, but the "Raisin's" (AKA: Treasures/Hooters) is hysterical. A must see for you, verse. Might actually cheer you up when you realize this is exactly the way we all feel when this happens.
Day 3:: i'm still a little toasted from last night, so i get out of character between now and 2pm, blame it on the 7 shots or 8 coronas... anyway. had to go to the bar she works at last night. she wasn't working (fortunately), so i ended up staying for a while and hanging out with 2 of my friends. well, to make a long story short, i realized that everyone in that place knows me and at some point will ask me about her and i. so, i made the decision to just tell the truth when asked. quite a few people asked last night, and quite a few people now know the truth. the consensus: she's a scandalous b**** for doing that. you can (and could have) done much better. go find someone else and bring them back here. what i also started thinking about is, how is she going to be able to live with herself knowing that everyone at her workplace knows what she did? this isn't as simple as a part time job. she's the manager there, and has been offered the bar when the owner retires (in 1.5 years). every action has repercussions......
Well, I most certainly kow that most normal people wil find it disgusting for someone to do soemthing like that over the phone. Something like that must be done face to face. Good luck verse....hope you get everything straightened out.
That sucks man. But you have to look on the bright side. With every closed door, there is one that opens up. Besides there are PLENTY of great girls out there.
verse = on South Park last night. Don't wanna give away to many details but it was hilarious. Wendy broke up with Stan, not because she doesn't like him, but because she doesn't want a boyfriend right now. Later, he sees Wendy with Token. After coming out of a deep depression he is semi- back to normal and sees Wendy and Token on the playground. He says "Hey Wendy, you're a b****. Oh and Token, right here buddy." as he holds up his middle finger. Ah yes, young love leads to anger. Gotta love it.
