From now on the rockets should be about winning today. No more Bonzi for Bjax trades cause it will help us next year. If that is the case then play your rookies and get them experience. No more wish washiness.
Might want to check your math. And your logic. There are only 30 teams in the entire NBA. And the ones that continue with their "next years'" are the ones with poor business plans.
Part of our problems has been that we have been trying to win NOW for a few years and it unfortunately hasn't panned out. The moves for Stromile, Shane, Mike James, Steve Francis etc. have all been short-term moves to try to put complementary role players around T-Mac and Yao and give them a shot to win a championship. This was the 1st year we made some moves looking towards the future (Brooks, Landry, Scola) and I think most would argue that they were good moves. Unless you're willing to blow up the team and wait for a few years (i.e Blazers, Sonics, Wolves), I think you have to just try to make the best of our core and continue to tweak the roster, realizing the limitations of the salary cap...not mention pray that T-Mac and Yao stay healthy.
injuries are things we can't see ahead of time. we should have tmac wear every possible pad, cause he's fragile, very fragile. we should make yao wear a leg/knee brace for both of his legs. that way, we can take them off in the playoffs, and then they'll suprize everyone.
