LMAO, this video was funny, cute and kinda creepy at the same time. Funny because I knew the guy wasn't going to be able to catch the spider with that container and then ran off like like his little girl. Cute because his little girl spoke with a british accent I believe and creepy because of a big ass spider. They both took off and left the camera.
That is the one thing that is good about Minnesota that its too dam cold for roaches. As a kid a roach ran across my face while I was half asleep my parents thought I was being abducted. I remember the flying roaches too. It always seemed like they would only fly if cornered and not very well. I remember cornering a roach adn getting ready to swat it and all of the sudden it would take off and nail me in the face as it tried to fly away.
You better keep your surroundings clean then man. I also remembered back when I was a kid when my then best friend's mom got a cockroach in her ear and laid eggs there. It was damn hard to clean that ear. Ugh.
I can't believe there is this thread without this video. <embed src="http://www.ebaumsworld.com/player.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" flashvars="pageurl=http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/363165/&file=http://media.ebaumsworld.com/videos/2008/04/363165.flv&mediaid=363165&title=scared of roaches&tags=&description=dude is so afraid of roaches that he can barely get close let alone touch one&displayheight=325&backcolor=0x0d0d0d&lightoclor=0x336699&frontcolor=0xcccccc&image=http://images.ebaumsworld.com/thumbs/2008/04/363165.jpg&username=spin77" wmode="transparent" loop="false" menu="false" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="425" height="345" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

I don't get the fear of these things at all. I don't like them but it's not like they are venomous or anything. Just kill it, fog your house and chill.
Brings back memory of my "WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF SMALLER THINGS THAN YOU?" thread. GlenRice, you're a wuss.
What a p***y, lmao. I'd probably make some less than manly noises too but it'd be more like "AHHH MOTHER ****ER GET OFF ME SON OF A b****"
Isn't it the small skinny ones that carry all the diseases? The big flying ones hate humans, but one on one, you can take them most of the time.
Awesome story man, showed finalsbound and she freaked out. She hates roaches a lot. I just end their lives, usually wish a shoe. I don't care much for them either.
I had a praying mantis on my back in an indoor restaurant once. The waitress noticed it. He just sat on our table and watched us eat after I took him off. Cool little bug.
Makes me think of that fake story about how some person had roach (or some insect) eggs growing in their gums. I remember there was a picture and it was pretty gross to think about.
surprised that antisonic hasn't chimed in yet. over in georgia they call them palmetto bugs. whatever. they're effing roaches. when i lived in atl, i would sometimes leave the ones i killed on the floor as a reminder to the ones that stumbled across it. needless to say the idea was stupid and didn't work. sometimes, i would think it was a new roach and freaked all over again. i lol'ed at the last sentence of the first paragraph under characteristics.
Yeah I had a gf at the time and I didn't tell her lol. I can usually kill them with a shoe but only if they are on the ground and can't fly. If they are on the wall and are the ones that can fly, then I just panic.
