Haha Dadakota, you the man. I do believe your right. I'd like for you to believe that was a trick question but I was stumped and you just refreshed my memory.

Mavs are supposed to be one of the teams we have to catch to get to 6th, but of course - with 31 more losses for Utah they will be out of the playoffs and we could get 6th based on that.

DaDa - you are wrong - stop rooting for Jazz let them play themself no higher than #3 as we are exploding for #6.

    Heath,

I think the only REALISTIC chance we have is the number 8 spot, and even that is an outside shot right now.

Yeah, of course it is easier to go for the 8th seed as we dont even have to play to good if we are allowed to back into the playoffs. But I say we play catchup and not really on any of the 3 teams in front of us bstarung to lose more than expected (or win more either) and then 6-8 are pretty close, so I say take all of them. But as one of them could go on a winning spree as big as ours I say that I stick with my earlier prediction of 48-34 - 7th seed. I can also see us winnimg 1-2 more or losing 1-2 more for a 6th to 8th seed. I belive 8th seed could go at 46 wins or even lower

The first thing to do is catch Minnesota. That may be harder than we think. Has anyone looked at their schedule? They can sleepwalk through March and still be 3 games ahead of us. April gets tougher for them, but... If they don't lose a couple of games that they should win, AND if we don't beat them in our last game, then they might be impossible to catch.

First things first. Catch Minnesota. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but...

Of course, if the Rox keep playing like this, they could easily steal a couple of games that they 'shouldn't have won' (like Monday) and pull alongside the Wolves. This could be fun [IMG]

Well earlier it was posted that we first should catch the Suns - no which one is it. we should catch the Suns as they had the toughest schedule remaining - and even if Wolves have fallen of and is now behind Suns you cant make that a negative in catching Suns. It only means that now we have 2 teams ready for some spanking. Wolves should not be down in 8th now, they didnt have a hard schedule - they lost anyway - this is positive. (btw Sonics - remember them - they should still be in front of us still by any measure - but they went on to lose to Atlanta and Boston)

So repeat after me - we're gonna catch Suns - if other teams are behind Suns - so be it cool and positive for us that they can't take care of business - but Suns are going down - they still have this hard schedule you know - it didnt get easier by Wolves falling behind them - nor did our "easiest" in the league schedule get any harder get any harder get any harder get any harder. 6th or 7th would be great, but I'll settle for 8th. With the Wolves having a relatively light schedule from here on out, they might pass the Suns anyway. I really don't care who we have to catch, I'm just worried about the distance to get there. We're not the only ones with a relatively light schedule to go.

Just getting in would be great for morale. Winning a couple would be immense. Going to the second round...

If the T-Wolves lose three in a row, and the Rockets win 4 in a row, they will be in the playoffs. Then the pressure will be on The Wolves to catch US.

The Apr 17 game v. the Wolves could be THE most important game of the season, literally deciding which team gets to the postseason. We could be at 1 or .5 GB by that date, all else equal and continuing the current trend. I'll be biting my nails 'till then.

Utah is playing Phoenix right now on NBC. Go Jazz!

Phoenix'll be 33-22 after Karla's boys beat 'em, and we'll pick up another game after we kiss the FailBlazers' ass tomorrow.

I agree in principle with the premise of this thread. However, I recommend that from here forward we adopt a board-wide policy dictating that any writing of "Go Jazz" MUST be accompanied by an asterisk:

The Jazz are playing now, Go Jazz!*

The * of course translates roughly as "so we can kick your ass in the playoffs."

Billy Paultz, yes, he made Shaq look like Murph.

Minnesota looks like they're gonna lose to the Pacers, making the Rockets that much closer

    Ok,

I agree with the asterisk, sounds like a great idea.

Definitely the Jazz! And why does everybody keep saying we have to catch the Suns? Minnesota is the team we're a few games behind. I don't care where it is, I just want to get into the playoffs!

What occurs to me is last time we faced the Jazz in the first round. Barkley suffered a torn muscle in his arm due to dirty play by the Jazz. Last thing we need is to have that happen to Francis or Taylor this year. Seems whenever there's news about a player being injured lately it's been against them. Sure it would be sweet to eliminate them but I'd rather they do themselves in.

    Hasher :

that game vs jazz in 97 playoffs [IMG] where the bad memories.. carr caused that injury for sir charles .. at least he won't be there this time if we face them .. maybe marshall in his place now to hurt one of the rockets !!

Note : Jazz vs rockets 1997 playoffs is the last game I've seen for the houston !! because I live in Q8 and you can't see NBA games life on Q8 tv !! espn is the only channel could you reach here [IMG] and it's too expensive .. moreover I have to wait for months to see the rockets if national t.v. schedule contains some games for my favourite team !! Damn it [IMG]

check my file if you don't know the meaning of Q8
