adopt adopt adopt. We got our awesome dog for $90, fully neutered, and all shots up to date. Going on 4 years now, and the best decision we've ever made.

    Adopt!
My mom used to have a phobia of dogs but I finally convinced her into getting one.. unfortunately since she was just getting over her fear it had to be a small, inside dog. And, since she likes to flaunt her money with her prada louis vuitton bags, she said it had to be a pure bred from a breeder. F**k. Anyways, we got a pomeranian. 400 bucks for the dog alone AFTER haggling. Original price 800 dollars... No shots not neutered no vaccines not trained NOTHING. Just the dog. Anyways, since he's so small he loves to run around the house and play with his toys, but hes not big enough to cause any major destruction.. Although when we first got him he chewed on the corners of the walls. Some advice if you do get one, don't let them onto your couch. Tons of hair + they'll chew it up. But he can also be left alone, he'll just wander around or sit down and chew on a toy or even just sleep! He's an awesome dog, but when I move out I plan on getting a bigger dog to join him. If you plan on having multiple dogs its better to associate them when they're young because pomeranians mark territory.. alot.

I have scanned through this thread and there is good advice. I don't think it was mentioned, but many people can not handle having their house taken over by dog hair. Consider if you'd like a non-shedding breed if you are going to keep the dog inside.
