I used to follow the Lakers also. WHen ever they're on TV I would be on the couch watching thier games. That is until Shaq made that racist remark towards Yao Ming. Since then Ive been rooting against the lakers. I'll start rooting for the Lakers once Yao suits up in Purple & Gold.

You Fakers trolls should go ahead and accept it..

    Yao aint going to LA.

By the time his contract is up for extension, Yao will be the focal pioint on a contender, and noone can offer more than the Rockets can at that point.

I know, I know. But if all of you consider Cat more consistent than Yao, then we will have a chance seeing Yao in Purple and Gold;) You can keep cat for life:D

Amen! Seeing Yao in a lakers uniform would be a dream come true for me.

What a unique perspective! I've been blind all along. The Rockets can keep Mobley, I'll just have to suck up and watch horrible bb-ball play for another 2 years.

THERE ARE BULLS HATERS. I hate the bulls, but to not make the Lakers jealous, I hate them as much.

Show me a team who has had a self-marrying freak, a three-time quitter, and an elbow-wielding non-scoring center? Da Bulls(hit).

Show me a team with a rapist, a bully, and an arrogant coach? Da Lakas.

Soo..what you are saying is that just because a few fans on a message board that isnt read by any of the Rockets players or coaches think that Cat has been more consistent in the first 20 games of a season.....that Yao will leave?
    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

OMG...what a jump in logic. I guess you can be excused for it, considering you are a Lakers fan trolling a Rockets board.

Thanks, but I prefer a site where you can get booted for profanity and/or lack of civility to fellow posters.

My boot from the Laker board came in the days when Laker fans were frantically and blindly defending Bryant regardless of any facts. It was just too much fun tweaking Laker noses.

The hype the Lakers always receive gets to me. Even the officiating is affected. Shaq lowers his shoulder, knocks the ESTABLISHED defender down and gets a dunk. Charge? No! The foul is called on the defender. Kobe is fouled at the three point line dribbles three more times to lay the ball up and …. Huh? he gets the continuation call? I could probably stomach even that, but then you have to deal with the media going on and on about the play. Laker fans grin and say yeah great play. While everyone else pretends they didn't see what they just saw, or at least wish their team was treated the same way. Media people, save the hyperbole for real highlight plays that don’t involve refs afraid to call the game.

Chicago was the same way with Jordan. It just burns me when dominant stars are allowed to get away with fouls just because “That’s their move.” They’re superstars they don’t need the help to be good.

Now of course if Yao, or Steve get to that point… it might have fewer gripes.

Way OT, but the phrase above jogged a memory.... And who knows, the following might even turn out to be appropriate, depending on how this season turns out. ;)

The rest of the poem goes on to show how the vast purple-and-gold army was destroyed.

I agree. That is why I voted NO in the link below.

    http://www.clutchfans.net/poll_results.cfm

I think deep down it is unfair to ask Stevie to sacrifice so much. Here is my plan - play him at the 2-guard and give him the freedom to shot 14-18 times every game. Mobley has been great but the long term betterness of our team demands that either Steve or Mobley remain in there present roles. Getting a true playmaker/point guard will free up Stevie to become as good as he can become and consequently make our team better.
