I am not far from giving up on T-Mac either. Man, it's been a frustrating 3-4years supporting this guy, but he will never show up when it matters. His numbers will tell another story, kind of like Iverson's numbers in a boxscore, .....

it's just really hard to imagine T-Mac being in the 2nd round. And it's insane to imagine him going deeper. Some commentators mentioned a while back, and I never realized it, but T-Mac doesn't dribble the ball anymore. It's one bounce or two and then pass. I think we need the T-Mac that can dribble around opponents and from one side of the circle to the other, the T-Mac that will break down defense. I know him penetrating and then throwing the ball out for an open 3 is normal, but we need more than that.

I hope he proves me wrong because I still like what Stephen A. Smith said: "I would give anything to see Tracy McGrady in the NBA Finals.

As of now, though, and it's not a knee-jerked reaction, I just felt like I've been lying to myself when I tell people McGrady has what it takes.

Merry Christmas, folks. See Ya'll on Friday. And we'll see the cavs in H-town soon enough.

Can we all say that were done with Tracy as far as thinking of him as a superstar player? I certainly think so. Why not just think of him as an average player now even though he might have had some good games this season?

The problem is he's had his share of bad games as well. In his previous four seasons with the Rockets, I don't think that he's had as many bad games like what he's had up to this point in the season like what we've seen so far this season.

For this game, T-Mac wasted away Rafer Alston's rather gallant effort in his return from his hamstring injury. Aren't we used to seeing the Rockets win the game when Rafer Alston puts up at least 20 points with T-Mac and Yao on the floor together?

4 games in 5 nights, but this game was lost in the summer when Tmac didn't do his rehab, he is still not in shape.

His knee may be a bit of an issue but most of that is because he just hasn't done the work needed to strengthen it yet.

I doubt we see this kind of effort in March...at least I hope not.

I think that a true superstar would have done his rehab you're talking about. Since T-Mac didn't do it, then I find it hard to keep on thinking of him as a superstar, but instead, an average player.

No. I think this was one of those times when his body wouldn't cooperate.

I really doubt he decided to mail it in against a team anointed as a contender that happens to have a guy who already had the NBA 2008-2009 MVP trophy sitting on his mantle.

Ironic how you and I are suddenly the hopeful optimists when it comes to McGrady.

No, not optimist at all, I think the doctors were right all along and he will get better, and now that he is playing it will come with time.

    stick a fork in him.

He hasn't been right athletically in a long time. It's seems that at his best this season he's operating at 75% and on off nights you see stinkers like this. He really has to be athletic to be effective (imagine an un-athletic Lebron)

It appears to me that Mcgrady is working harder than he ever has in his entire career...too bad he's done. I hope i'm wrong. :(

All you T-Mac defenders, you need to understand something: It's McGrady's lack of effort that makes fans tired of him.

I'd rather he put up so-so stats like Shane and Ron and bust his ass playing for us rather than this up-and-down roller coaster ride Tracy gives. If we could trade Tracy McGrady for a Ron Artest clone and have a Ron/Ron/Shane lineup, with all three averaging 12 ppg, we'd win more often.

Tracy's attitude infects the team. That's what you T-Mac defenders have to understand.

I heard about that last game when they were talking about him not dribbling it coast to coast like he used to. Hopefully, he heals and his health isnt an issue come March or April. If I dont see any positives from him then, I have given up on him as well.

Clearly McGrady was hurting. He thought he could go tonight, but he couldn't, so he sat out in crunch time.

If by " right thing " you mean that he knew he couldn't contribute but played anyway, then I agree.
