i have a feeling that tmac will end up like penny hardaway. (im a huge penny fan) the knee injuries usually causes most troubles post surgery and it's really hard to be fully recovered. I've been waiting years for penny's knee to be healed and to be out there again. it was just sad and disappointing. it doesnt look good. superstar -> max contract -> injuries -> lost passion -> getting old -> no team wants him anymore
Well, man, that's because you don't want to see it even when the fact is right in front of you. Look at MJ or other true competitors, when was the last time that they make an excuse "I am injured/tired, so I didn't play well"? Loosers always find excuse for themselves. True competitors always want to compete, and when they didn't do well (even if it is indeed due to injury), they will say: "I didn't do well this time, I will play harder next time and I will come back". Even super super stars will have off games. T-Mac? When was the last time he said "I didn't play well", "it is my bad", without making an excuse "I am tired, I am injured", without blaming his teammates like a 5 year old kid?
I repeat, I dare you, DaDakota, or anybody to come up with evidence that McGrady did not rehab his knee or work out after his surgery. You are all liars, and I DARE you to prove me wrong. You seem to think that if you say it enough times, it will eventually become true. It won't. You are liars, and I dare you to prove otherwise.
http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Tracy_McGradyrsquos_Road_to_-292943-34.html Again, I dare anyone to prove that McGrady didn't do the rehab he was supposed to do.
that hard work was during the 3 weeks he took off mid season, not during the offseason after his surgery......... try again
I think TMac still have a lot of games left in his tank. BUT sometimes it is so frustrating to see him play like the one in Cleveland... That was supposed to be a big game and everybody was expecting him to step up, but he didn't... He was actually outplayed by Delonte West ... I'm not trying to bash TMac, I'm just frustrated the way he played last night...
tracy is never going to have time to actually work on his game, its going to be the same story every year. After this season hes having shoulder surgery again and then he will come back playing horrible and everyone will just say hes out of shape/injured. When will all of this end? I mean i love tracy and hes my favorite player but aren't you guys sick of tmac by now?
1/11 vs lakers. 2/7 vs cavaliers. He USED to show up for big games. Now he is a shadow of his former self. Such talent gone to waste because he is mentally WEAK.
you hit a very key-point. He did indeed say he is going to get surgery over the off-season and there will be another rehabilitation period. However, as several have already alluded to, he has a contract year to motivate him, so may be he comes into training camp in the best shape in years.
It's okay for a fan to say he is done with Tracy... what really sucks is to look at the guy can play and see that Tracy is done with Tracy and even more worse he kidnapped T-Mac in 2005 and we haven't seen him since.
Some may think Tracy isn't a true superstar..which could be true..but ask yourself are we truly better with out him?
Tracy will always be a vital part of this team no matter what... But knowing that he has a superstar status and his teammates depend on him so much, it hurts the team even more if he is not going to play to his true potential... If he wants to get the respect from everybody, he needs to carry this team to the next level... Adding Ron Artest beside him, this is the time to do that... If he is not going to show up in the big games, where exactly is this team going?
Calm down. The arthroscopic surgery that he had shouldn't take as long as it did to rehab if there were no complications. And as far as we know there were none reported. Per his own words, the only difference between the rehab prescribed during the 3 week period and the rehab prescribed over the summer is doing it consistently. The writing is on the wall that he didn't go all out on his rehab over the summer. http://www.click2houston.com/video/18189219/index.html Edit: And the article that you posted that has David Macha saying that "Tracy has been working toward this for six-to-eight weeks now" was written on December 12th. His surgery was on May 6th. So Macha is basically talking from the point of training camp because that is the time frame he mentions.
I don't think anyone expects him to play like the Tmac of old, it's just his weak mentality that bothers us. Everyone's going to have an off night, but those that are mentally tough will play hard until the end, not give up on their teammates when the game's on the line. You can't always control the results, but you can definitely control how much effort and heart you put into it.
