the wolves will be fine this series.

Also to my earlier point, watch carlisle coach Indy that final minute.

    Jesus.

    That's what playoff basketball takes.

Very good post. I’ve said before that he is an inexperienced head coach and there is hope. My hope is fading though. He just seems so egotistical and stubborn, that I’m not sure he is capable of self-reflection. He being a married man and putting his job and marriage in jeopardy while in Boston smacks of narcissism. I’ve never once heard him admit any responsibility for losses. This, too, is not a good sign.

I hate Ime playing 8 man rotation.

I gave Ime a lot of credits for what he has done to this team but he for sure has many flaws.

One thing I am particularly concerned is his ability to develop a young player. Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard are two good examples. They were both second year when Ime joined Celtics. Both of them played less miuntes and their statistical sheets looked even worse compared to Year 1. Without Ime, Nesmith is now the starting SG for Pacers and Pritchard is now the 6th man of the year.

That said, I feel a bit sorry for Reed. Maybe he is indeed not ready yet to contribute much this season but play under Ime certainly does not help either.

This needs context and honestly may be a bit disingenuous without it.

Aaron Nesmith was backing up Jayson Tatum, and Payton was backing up 21-22 Marcus Smart who won DPOY that year under Ime and Dennis Schroder, both of whom were better players that year.

Nesmith was backing up Buddy Hield in Indiana without Ime the next year and became successful three years later at age 25.

Payton was Still third string the next year at Boston with Mazzulla and backing up Marcus and Malcom Brogdon, his numbers actually got worse with Mazzulla the next year at Boston initially. And he also took an additional three years to develop.

Young players need time/years and you are not playing those two over that 21-22 roster which went to the finals, over an all star, DPOY and established better players at the time imo.

Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart and others are on record they loved Ime and became stars and DPOY developing under him.

Until Ime embraces a balanced approach and plays offense first guys......as well as defense first, we won't win anything of consequence.
