Rafer Alston should not be here next year. Trade, buy him out, cut him, whatever has to be done to send him somewhere else. Two seasons have proven beyond any argument that he CAN"T SHOOT. An NBA guard has to be able to make wide open shots. Yes, he has great "handles," but that does not compensate for his other weaknesses. Hopefully, this is his last season with the Rockets. Maybe, he could take JVG with him, I am really tired of them both.
As above. I also note that Rafer has NO penetrating ability which a a championship team needs from time to time. He should ber gone next year. I will pray.
You have same tempo as Rafer's. I notice Rafer jacks up his shots one after another under these two circumstances: #1. Missed a shot but denial or self-challenge. So keep going and missing... #2. Made a lucky shot, and felt he was T-mac. So keep going but missing, back to #1. Rafer may need a psychologic consultation. I personally like this thread. We need some humors after a loss.

He -- and I am sad to say Luther Head -- will kill us in the playoffs. Besides Yao's personal improvement as an offensive threat, I think the rest of the team (specifically our overall b-ball IQ, and specifically the massive regression of talent at the PG position) has regressed on some fronts from two years ago when we almost beat the Mavs in the first round. Because that would be unrealistic, if you were that good you wouldn't challenge people on my level of basketball (I played in jr high only) and I live too far away. Oh yeah... I also have this personal policy against playing one on one versus a guy who proposes a game online. It's just a me thing. If you really like the playing side of basketball, go play pick up. what amazes me most about rafer is that, following a loss,he says all the right things "we need to find a way to get the ball down low,I have to do a better job of redistributing" Am i Missing something?
I dont care what kind of loyalty Rafer is, when you shoot 14 shots, your supposed to make at least 6 or more, maybe 5 if your on a bad day, but 3? This guy has no basketball IQ, he shoots 20 shots and makes only 5, not only does this happen once, it happpens everytime, Rafer will never shoot at 50% if he attempts more than 10 shots, never. Your a starting PointGuard, this guy is a mockery, he shouldnt be shooting that many shots and no matter how much your defending him, he has cost us way too many loses.
Somone should walk up to Rafer and show him his stats...I don't think he knows. What is his percentage on tear drops? What is his percentage on jump shots off the dribble? ...I don't know, but it has to be below 25%. Where is Morey when you need him? show him the stats. Rafer needs to work on those aspects of his game before using them. Rafer, off-the-dribble jumpshots--don't do it. There are other ways to finish drives besides rainbows and teardrops, Rafer. If someone knows the answers to my questions, please post.
