Do you think the execs at Fox have listened to the lyrics of Jay Z's "Empire State of Mind" that is supposed to be performed live on Fox before Game 2 of Yankees Phillies?

As far as the music/performance aspect, I can take it or leave it. I guess what I am getting at is, I can't imagine very many New Yorkers are going to view this as a positive "Opus" about their city. I'm sure Jay Z will tone down some of the lyrics, but in general it seemed kind of depressing.

I dont see why its not a positive for the city?

Obviously, he wont say the N word in the song, but the lyrics are fine, imo. Pretty good, actually.

This guy hosts Rome for ONE DAY and now he acts like he's too good for Jay-Z lyrics.

that's one of the hottest joints on airplay right now... i don't see how that is bad for the NY... rappers overly exaggerate lyrics in their rhymes all the time.. the sinatra reference made me chuckle
