    The real question is:

    Rivers @minimum pay

    Or

    CP3 @$40m per season

    Thoughts?

Value wise Melo at min > CP3 at 40 mill per.

Paul is going to be making 45 million at 36 years old, even if we offered teams two first we wouldn't be able to get out of his contract.

nAH cP3 IS THE MASTER. wHAT aUSTIN DOES IS LIKE A CHANGEUP IN BASEBALL. He plays a faster tempo when the rotations get right here is what we are looking at
Faster More drives corner 3's in abundance with some iso more ball movement
    Austin/knight
    EG/Ennis
    Green
    House
    Nene

Starters slower pace, alot of step back 3's,and alley oops some drives
    cp3
    James
    tucker
    house
    Capela

P.s. if we could get Iman Shumpert for Knight and a 2nd round pick it would be money for us. Thats really the guy we need.

You don't even want out of his contract because when healthy he is better than Rivers.

If he is injured he makes the team worse which is what you want. You want your team to be boom or bust that way you can tank and get high picks.

The real question is why are you deciding between the two of them when we have both?

Rivers gives us the depth we need he basically replaces EG as the 6th man.

When fully healthy Rox now have a starting 5 of Cp3, Harden, EG, Tucker and Capela. Bench they have Rivers, Nene, House, Green and that Ennis. Thats a pretty deep team. Way better depth than anybody except GSW which has 6 allstars (including Iggy who was on multiple all star teams before).

@threepointshot3, you know that Clutchfans benefits from all the traffic here, right? You don't make any money no matter how many people click on your thread to tell you how stupid you are. So what could have possibly motivated you to post this nonsense?

    I'll give you that a
rested Austin > overrun and injured CP3...

give it time... MDA will run Rivers into the ground and he'll start diminishing... ;)

Obviously CP3 is still miles better than Austin Rivers, but the latter’s recent play has me feeling good about our bench! Knight has been looking better too, so it’s either him or someone the Rockets trade for as a bench contributor.

Man, CP3 is going to help us so much in beating Golden State in the playoffs this year. The dude might not have a ring but he brings more championship mentality than anyone else.

Where's your daily Chris Paul appreciation? :D

Why not have both? People seem to think Rivers is gone at the end of the season, but does anyone have a reasonable guess as to what it would take to keep him? Just in case the team does well, and we have incentive to keep it all together...

Rivers is to replace Ariza to shoot 3 points and backup cp3 and harden. We need both of them in the team.

rivers is better at defense. and its great that his 3 is falling. but he cannot create shots for others like CP3. there's not many who can do what CP3 does. against a swarming defense in the playoffs where teams are going to press and suffocate harden on the perimeter you need CP3 to create the intial space for others. CP3 is the best ball handler on the planet. he gives ppl wide open looks and doesn't turn the ball over much when doing it like harden does. that's why he's so valuable. he makes everyone better around him
