Not no. HELL NO. Harden is our offense. Asik is the only guy who rebounds or plays interior defense. If we lost one of those guys, we would finish under .500.

its like saying where will miami be without lebron and wade or OKC without KD and westbrook or clippers without paul and griffin or knicks with out melo and chandler...

    the answer is quite obvious....

Without Asik this is a scrub team. It's just sad.

The same as the Heat is overly relying on James and Wade, the OKC is overly relying on Durant and Westbrook ...

He meant just one, so Miami without one of those would still make it, thunder without one of those would most likely make it (without KD and only westbrook would be interesting), clippers have a lot of depth they'd make it, Knicks ok yeah they might not make it without one of them. This is all assuming they have our record because Miami and thunder are pretty much locks to make it this year

I hate threads that starts with "what do you think" and ends in 2nd sentence.

What about the Thunders? Do you guys think they would suck if KD and Westbrook is injured?

Youre right, how dare they ask for our opinion. Ugh so demanding.

(I'm being sarcastic in case you didn't know)

Well this thread Is just asking if one were to go down. Not sure why you're asking if both go down. I'd say every team would struggle if they lose their two star players

Harden is getting a ton of minutes but I think this is part of his development as the center piece envisioned by the coaching staff and probably himself as well.

I don't think Asik is getting too many minutes. I actually think the total minutes for him and Lin are ideal for their development.

The player I wonder about is Chandler Parsons. He hasn't had any injuries aside from that shoulder thing in the beginning of the season and he doesn't ever look too tired... but he does get a lot of minutes (2nd after Harden at 36 min) and I worry if he might hit a wall or get an injury.

I doubt that you can make that argument cogent unless both of them are out.

At this point, we still make the playoffs. Portland and Utah's remaining schedules are too difficult, Dallas is too far behind.

Between the two, Asik would be the bigger loss. We no longer win or lose depending entirely on Harden's performance and have plenty of scoring even without him. But we have no D without Asik.

We still sneak into the playoffs a game or two ahead of the Jazz if Asik goes out.

I think more so on Harden and Parsons...if you look at rely purely based on the playing minutes. The greatest loss when Parsons is out is on the defense side, which has an overall greater impact, in my mind, then say Harden being out. Lin hasn't missed a game so we do not know what sort of impact he'll have on the game....

We blew Dallas out by 33 and Harden only took 10 shots.

OTOH, I don't even want to imagine how bad we would be without Asik.

Do the Heat rely to much on DWade/Lebron? Do the Lakers with Kobe/Dwight? Or OKC with Durant/Westbrooks? Unless you are 1986 Celtics, you are always going to rely a lot on two or three players.
