Based on the videos showed he's the next Devin Durant. All kidding aside he does have potential to be a potent backup at the 5 and does not seem to fear good players, it must be a Memphis Grizzly thing.
He has the talent just needs a long run on the floor much like Hassan Whiteside needed a few years ago, just needs a long bit of playing time to blossom. DD
Yup, wonder how much time he'd be spending in the G-League if we brought him back. But dang, he is enticing to watch highlights of. He needs to spend the summer balling with Harden, every player who does this comes back better the next year. I remember watching vids of Pascal Siakam and he looked "meh" and came back the next year ready to ball. Bruno has a ton of potential!
More recent Bruno highlights. Giannis will hate Rockets even more with Bruno on team. LOL https://clutchpoints.com/bucks-news...-marked-on-calendar-because-of-bruno-caboclo/
These highlight videos are odd... If he really is a point forward, then why are there no videos of him passing?
Mike just needs to see him hit four threes in a row in practice and he'll find some spot minutes for him
To be fair, Rivers has one of the quicker first steps of any guard in the league. Most big men would get beat by Rivers on a blow-by.
Who said he is a point forward? He is a 5 with some guard skills which include ball handling and shooting from 3.
This neither time nor place to discuss rivers or Caboloclo or whatever this dude you are talking about!!!!
SPICY HOT TAKE ALERT!! Not only do I think Bruno plays, I think he becomes Harden's new lob threat and rim protector.
Time to put Bruno on T H I C C diet plan. Lots of pancakes with PJ. Or get him on roids like Giannis. LOL
If the guy can be our center for 25 minutes a night, it would be a major boost to this team. I'm not really thinking of him as a scorer. I think he is more likely to succeed as a defensive 5 with an improving 3pt shot. The rest of his game is ok I guess. I still think there's a good chance he remains inconsistent, but the possibility of him becoming a rotation player is intriguing.
Hire Nene to be his personal trainer .. get lord Covington to bust his ass in practice .. get harden to teach him dribble moves .. get Russ to teach him how to bum rush the paint ...next Year he will contribute if we need to flush some salary for LTS
I actually think Tucker is a great role model for him. Think of all the things Tucker does to overcome his physical and athletic limitations. Those are things Bruno needs to learn too.
Definitely a point forward with the arm length to disrupt 5's. I am really hoping this guy turns into another robert horry.
Honestly this guy has huge holes in his game, does not appear to possess significant "will" or "killer instinct" to the point that he is 6'9 with an unbelievable wingspan and can't even make an nba roster, so I wouldn't have any lofty expectations as to his play, I mean if he was not a net negative and with that size and height he should easily have a 10 mil a year contract..... Having said that our "system" will maximize his skills, which are stand still shooting, spacing and weak side defense/length. Anything else he can bring to the table will be icing on the cake.
Also guys that think he will be running pick and roll w harden and be a lob threat, I don't see that happening at all he has an extremely slow two footed jump, no Capela replacement happening here.
I realize these are highlights, but here are the things I like... - Quick release with a very fluid and repeatable form on his jump shot - Amazing body control on his 3pt shot... I saw a hint of GG's ability to shoot off-balance 3's (but just a hint) - Decent handles and ability to get to the hole - Good offensive rebounding instincts - Nice rim protector... could be small ball 5 we need for 20-25 mins What I don't like as much... - Seems to have a sort of laissez faire style... would like to see more grit and attitude - As many have said, needs to put on some muscle I hope MDA gives him some time so we can see what he can offer in our system. A rim protector will be important at times, especially when we get in the play-offs. A rim protector who can stretch the floor could be a difference maker.
