The Woodlands - 6:45am. Still raining and gusts of heavy winds. During the night a gust must have knocked down one of the tall trees in the backyard, but fortunately it was knocked over away from the house (the neighbor behind me won't think it was so lucky, since it appears to have fallen across the fence between our yards).

    This entire thing was overhyped.

It's now 7:40 and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I apologize to the people who spent more than 10+ hours on the road... You did it for NOTHING.

    Godspeed on your return.

Montrose area... near St. Thomas - we still have power, but there are limbs down everywhere and there are periodic, very strong gusts from the west

    KATY, TX.

Slept through the night (although I admit that I use a "noise-maker" to help me sleep, i.e., Summer Night, Babbling Brook, White Noise, etc, so that might have blocked out the wind noise).

Woke up. Not even a branch down. We have been very fortunate out here.

Huntsville - not an evacuee, I go to school here

Steady rain, though nothing too heavy right now.

Winds around 15 mph I would say, guest up to around 30 mph.

We still have power where I'm at, though a lot of the town is out I hear.

    Friendswood

I'm in Texarkana, but I've spoken to a neighbor that stuck it out and all is well in Friendswood near 528/518... just some wind and rain.

    Uniterruptible, not universal.

Clear Lake seems to be ok. A friend who works for Reliant had to stay and he said that the neighborhood we used to live in didn't even lose power, which bodes well for us since we now live less than a mile away.

Looks like Houston really dodged a bullet on this one.

Not raining anymore, strong gusts and winds. The power apparently flickered in my sleep, knocking out the air conditioning. Also, some broken branches in my yard, but nothing major.

It's scary to think how little seperates a Cat 5 hitting us directly from this.

Location : Missouri City - FM 2234/Cartwright area

I talked to my dad and he says they really didn't get hit by much there in the southwest part of town. Not even too much rain from what he can see.

Near Jersey Village - 10:40 AM

Really nothing happened here - some small branches knocked off trees, that's it. The power cut out a couple of times overnight for a few seconds but has held steady for the last few hours. Some of my neighbors are already headed back into town.

In Bryan/College Station basically nothing has happened. Some wind, and it is sunny here in Bryan.

Mo City. Hwy 6 near the Ft. Bend Parkway
Power was out from 2:00 am to 9:45 am. It flicked on/off at ~7:30.

My next door neighbor's fence, separating his front and back, yard blew down. Other than that, no big deal at all in my subdivision.
