True! But more cajun culture is always welcome! Can't get enough of that cajun food!

Where are the best cajun places? I don't mean the commercialized stuff, but like Rajun Cajun type stuff. There used to be a guy in the underground mall that had one of those eateries. It tasted pretty good. Outside of those two, I really missed anything nearby I guess.

We are limited on what we can do because we keep our classes to a certain size etc.. but I'm glad we were able to take some students on from Tulane even if only as part time students...

I've been meaning to try Cajun Town Cafe. You might find good answers to your question by doing a search on HoustonPress.com for "cajun".

Actually, forget the cajun restaurants... maybe we'll start another thread for that. It's probably off-topic in here - my bad. :)

How far off is that platform? Those snakes must have had quite a ride.

    Good news coming from CNN.com:

AP: Sweep of New Orleans finds far fewer bodies than expected, suggesting death toll may not be catastrophic 10,000 feared, authorities say. Details soon.

I'm pretty sure MadMax is correct - they are very, very, very well-fed cottonmouths. BIggest, fattest cottonmouths I've ever seen.

    "Cottonmouth:
The Cottonmouth snake is related to the copperhead but more dangerous. Venom is highly toxic with severe tissue destruction. ...
Average length 3½ feet, maximum length 6 feet."

I bet those bad boys are pushing 6 feet and probably longer.

How'd you like to be walking around in the flood water with those things around?
