Maybe you're right. I still wish he would address it head on and as honestly as possible. Maybe that would involve revealing some uncomfortable truths about his son. He is not required to get into his son's personal issues, but as it relates to his business with these multi-national companies and the potential impact that could have on US public policy I think he should put out clear statements addressing that. He should also explain clearly why the NY Post article is irresponsible journalism ahead of an election, and not just dismiss it as "It's a bunch of lies!" The more he contrasts his handling of this "controversy" with Trump, the better.
