Yeah, when the robot uprisal finally happens it shouldn't be a surprise. We spend all of our time knocking their boxes out of their hand and tormenting them with hockey sticks.
I watched a NOVA episode this past weekend where Atlas placed 6th or 7th I think in a DARPA challenge. It got out of a car, didn't realize it had gotten out and tried to press the gas pedal instead of walking and fell down and broke its arm. Sad but kind of funny to watch. :grin: Of course, the one shown in the video K mf G posted is a revised version to the one that lost the DARPA contest. These things look awesome walking around and jogging, but when asked to do something as simple as turning things, walking across an uneven surface, standing back up once fallen, climbing stairs, etc. you realize we've got a long way to go before they're "man's best friend". I was told that the FAA won't even let me shoot them down over my place, unless they are under 100' That's not challenging at all. I want to play Live Space Invaders with those bastards.
