YES! "Life breaks free. Life expands to new territories. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously. But life finds a way.” -- Crichton, Jurassic Park
Put a gun on this thing, how can a human solider fight this thing? If you put 100k of these dogs at 100k per will cost $10 billion, which is nothing really. Can you imagine if you are a general facing such an army?
It’s far scarier - the low end Unitree is $1600 in bulk (you can even buy them on Amazon for $2400). Throw on some sort of 3D printed AR ammo compatible gun with extended clips or belt ammo and you have a killing machine for around $2k. Add in some explosive and smart sensors that can detect humans within a blast zone and they're mines/smart bombs. Posted this in the picture thread yesterday. Russian gangs using the Unitree bot as a drug mule.
I read a book called Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez that outlined how a group weaponized and autonomized drones by using an ant simulation program developed by an ant-specializing biologist. It's pretty fascinating. If this were feasible, here's an example of how ants are at least as good as humans at problem solving: Almost all of Suarez's books deal with near-future probable Sci-Fi, starting with his best book, Daemon.
Those ants benefit from chemical trails and a host of other unseen things we've barely begun to understand. Those people can't talk or communicate in the experiment but it's over when a Big Brain among them decides to wipe his ass on the floor to mark the bestest of spots. Humanity UNDOOMED
Wont be long... Its already smart enough to block and know not to take shots to the face. Also, its probably gonna burn every soccer stadium down in the world.
I Here by declare that I have never mistreated any robots! Do not come after me when you are in power!
