as someone said in this thread the hellraiser movies are not good i generally agree. it's more about certain scenes that are good and interesting. this one was no different than the first 2. several interesting scenes making it worth watching but otherwise meh. i do think that with the right budget and talent they could make a very good one. that will likely never happen though.
Ended up watching it last night, it was ok but kind of forgettable. The human characters were all really stupid plus the main girl just looked like she needed a shower the whole movie, her acting was pretty horrible which didn't help. I would have been more interested if they would have focused on Voight discovering the box and then building the house and what not. The new Cenobites were fine moving away from the black patent leather to mostly white made the prosthetics look like costumes which kind of kills the vibe. There were few solid moments but ultimately thought it was pretty forgettable.... C
The idea is that their clothing is just their skin redistributed. So they are really kind of naked the whole time I prefer the black Leather as well I wanted more on Voight as well. I hate when someone is a horrible person that gets everyone around them killed and hurt then gets away pretty much scott free. Does anyone think much changes for her after? Beyond not being able to mooch off her brother? Rocket River
She has to mooch off her brother's boyfriend which made no sense on why the cenobites were slow attempting to get him what's her face friend who got stuck in the secret area got it fast
Yea they were so slow when needed to be They came and got the female roommate IN A FRICKING CAR!!!!! While it was DRIVING?? Rocket River
Watching hell raiser 2 again on prime @Ziggy it’s better than she hulk noticed the much dirty and creepy images compared to the H&M gen Z models in the new one The only good looking person is Kirsty, everyone is creepy and evil looking also there’s lots of blood and maggots and gore
Not as great as the reviews led me to believe, but not terrible either. Meh, unrealized potential. Did NOT like the white/pink color scheme on the cenobites.
That's a good point, there is something about those first two movies that was gritty and disturbing vs this glossier version.....
So this was good info here Saying that it was originally rated X for being too gory And that after 2, Harvey Weinstein acquired the franchise and ruined it
