Hey all, Clutchfans' resident comic book nerd here, I know we're all knee-deep in a petition of our own, but if you have the chance, here's another one worth petitioning for. "Edward Norton recently said that he would reprise the role of Bruce Banner, aka the incredible Hulk, if the fans wanted him to. Show your support for Ed Norton as the Hulk by signing this petition! Hopefully, if we get enough signatures, the bigwigs at Marvel Studios will get the message!" As a personal Hulk fan, I totally digged the sequel and believe that Ed's portrayal of the character was deep and rich. I just think adding a person of Edward's caliber onto a roster with Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, and SLJ's on Avengers has got to be a recipe for success. If you saw the second movie and liked Ed's portrayal, please add on. Thanks, -Ctaco http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/BringBackEdNorton/
What movie was Ed Norton's a sequel to? I was under the impression it was unrelated to the previous film
The Hulk Confirmed for Marvel's 'Avengers' Movie Audiences and comic fans who feared that Edward Norton burned his bridges with Marvel, after the actor clashed with the studio over the final edit of The Incredible Hulk, may be surprised to hear that Norton is still Marvel's go-to guy for the role of Dr. Bruce Banner. On the subject of the not-too-distant Avengers film, which sees Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor join forces to form a team, Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige told SFX Magazine that the Hulk would indeed be one of the teammates. On Norton returning to the role: "It's certainly our intention to use the same actors from film to film where we can." Recall, also that Downey Jr. as Tony Stark appears to General Ross at the very end of "Hulk," a scene Leterrier called the first scene of "The Avengers." Sign Stark and them up for more, Fergus said. "I personally like when good-guy characters have to fight each other," he said. "Good guys going against good guys who both believe in an issue is way more interesting than a villain clearly into evil and I like when former friends become committed enemies." The Hulk is going to play the VILLAIN in the first Avengers movie.
Maybe I'm not up to snuff on my nerd knowledge, but wasn't capturing The Hulk the original mission for The Avengers?
Josh Holloway (Sawyer from LOST) has reportedly been in talks to play a lead role in an Avengers film. http://avengersnews.com/2010/05/31/josh-holloway-found-by-marvel-studios/
I thought he was part of the team and then left because he became a danger to the others due to his inability to control his rage. Later on he became a sort of on-off-again villain/friend.
I hope they just manage to make 2 hours straight of the Avengers fighting. CGI everywhere! The rest is going to be average filler and parts to go to the bathroom during. I hope Joss can actually manage to tell a worthwhile story. I wonder how much control he'll have?
How this crap usually goes in comics: -Two new heroes fight for a bit, to a standstill. -The decide that they should be allies. -A bigger threat emerges and they team up. Based on this, I will make the prediction that the Avengers- Thor, Iron Man and Cap, will fight The Hulk at the beginning of the movie, then they will all team up VS...mystery villain. Good money would be on Namor, The Masters of Evil or Kang.
They already went weird with Thor so Thanos now makes sense. Make it a little dark and you just might have a magical storyline on your hands.
