He's inconsistent, but I don't think he has topped out, not at all. He is doing fine to this point; he just needs to keep improving. What we have seen the last couple of games, I hope to see on a consistent basis by next year's All-star game. I thought he'd already be there, but there's no reason to panic. The Hill hatred we were seeing here a month ago was ridiculous. His presence was not costing us games, and that the Rockets' staff likes him more than Thabeet, more than Jeffries, doesn't mean they are incompetent oafs. We were seeing months of Morey-bashing up until recently, too. I guess PPatt's progress, plus a falling-off-the-bandwagon of a lot of folks, has quieted that. That Morey's a pretty smart fella. Go Rockets!
It is my opinion that he has all-star potential. He looks fluid at times and if he develops consistency, he will be a solid to all-star level talent. Of course I'm not holding my breath on this opinion. On another note, I don't think the Knicks were too eager to get rid of Hill. But they knew they needed cap space. Morey played hard ball, by doing the Landry trade without including the Knicks. That's when the Knicks decided to do the trade of Hill, draft picks, draft pick switches, and Jeffries - all for McGrady. So the Knicks got a lot of cap releif, which they utilized to go after Lebron James. They didn't get Lebron, but they did sign Amare Stoudomire. They've traded for Carmelo Anthony. Now there are rumors they are getting paul. All because of cap space acquired in the McGrady deal. In retrospect, I don't think the Knicks were eager to get rid of Hill. But they certainly have lost patience developing potential. For as we know potential flames out way too often.
