I don't know about TCM, but the methods of the 'doctor' who cured McGrady's back, Dr. Patterson, have no empirical validity as well. Yet, he is the MVP of the Rockets last season.
Looks like you have some good discussions with other Clutchfans here in the past 12 hours. First, you defined science yourself that it is "a work through objective, unbiased observation", I am using your definition here to tell you that Traditional Chinese Medicine is therefore, by your definition, science. It was developed systematically and scientifically, and practised through objective and unbiased observation. It looks like the discrepancy here is not whether TCM is science or not but the definition of "science". To me, the ways Great Wall and Pyramid were built are science (and you can only live for thousands of years to witness their "efficacy"), unless you got a university degree in any areas of TCM (and eventually realized it was just a study or arts, business administration or philosophy), please don't tell me that it is not science as you have no idea what you are talking about.
The dude "LScolaDominates" kept saying "modern science" and he must be something, it is very possible that he is a "modern scientist". What is "modern scientist"? I don't know, but I do know what is "modern girl", LOL. Because there is a word "Traditional" in TCM, something must be wrong. According to this famous "modern scientist", there is no science in other countries or in ancient time, how can TCM be science?
