Biggest non-call in the history of the league. But then there were the other 5... Dream got his calls too. <shrug>
I like Bledsoe, in fact I liked him so much that I traded for him in Moe's sim league when I was...The Bears...
I hope the do get another QB or another O coordinator. The Offense was too sporadic. One game versus TB Miller throws three TD's to Booker. The next he can't bust 100yds. The play calling seems funky to me. Miller was pressured, but he was the least sacked QB in the NFL. He had time to execute. Running game should still be solid. Just gotta throw downfield - Man I will be glad to get Robinson back. Pro Bowl O-Lineman Olin Kreutz may be gone too... On the D side - D line is locked in. LB's are too except Holdman. He should be back though. I have been hearing rumors about Parrish(S) and Harris(CB) leaving. Harris is almost a definite due to his $$$. But #23 Azuma will step in for him. He had the pic versus Philly for a TD. So that's cool. McQuarters is a good CB too. So the outlook is good for both sides of the ball. I hope they can repeat this year. Bledsoe would be nice if we can work out his contract - from what I read on ESPN a while back it is structured so that the Bears may be able to afford him. Not sure though.
Here is a little of Bledsoe's contract info, found it on a message board so I don't know the accuracy. 6-7 million a year would be acceptable for Bledsoe to me... More Info: http://www.fanball.com/web/fb/players/playerProfile.cfc?ID=4371 16.5$ million for three years - I will take that. And Even More Confusing Dribble: http://cbs.sportsline.com/b/page/pressbox/0,1328,4585362,00.html
The problem isn't really Jim Miller, but it's really Shoop. Miller can throw the ball downfield, like in the TB game this year. Unfortunately, Shoop is as conservative as they come when it comes to passing the ball. You can give him Brett Favre and Shoop would make him throw 5 yard WR screens.
Dude, we know the Cowboys suck on the football field. Doesn't mean we don't still rout for them (what do you expect, fair weather Dukie like fans) and revel in them owning the LimpSkins. We also enjoy still being among (if not the top) the lead leaders in NFL merchandise, being the team of the 90's, getting lots of TV and having the best cheerleaders. Yes we suck on the football field--after all, every franchice now has to go through this because they won't let Jerry buy all the players any more, it also means we can rise to the top quickly because other teams can't keep their good players either--but we are still, and always be, America's Team. So we were great until the league made us start to pinch pennies, we suck for now, we will be back again, it is the rest of you who are deluded and still hold these imblanced obsessive grudges over a currently not so special team.
