with a kick ass lightsaber duel! note: the above may very well be the dorkiest thing i've ever posted here.
I never saw this thead, so thanks for bringing it back, Max. No, you suck for bringing it to my attention. No wait.... I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I really wanna see this movie and will take anything I can get about it but at the same time don't want to have anything spoiled. Must fight the darkside and resist looking at the pictures. Ahh screw it, I'll go the way of Skywalker. EDIT: 5 minutes later: AHHHH! What have I done?
I thought Ep. I was kinda crappy because it was so kiddy-ish. Jar Jar and the whole pod race thing was just too juvenile. There were some stupid parts, too (like testing the kid's blood to see his "force potential"). I liked Qui Gon and Darth Maul a little, though. They staved the movie from being completely crappy. I liked Ep. II, though I thought Hayden C.'s acting was poor and the character was a crybaby. I'm really hoping that Ep. III will be very, very dark. The reason Ep. V (Empire Strikes Back) is the best by far is because it was the darkest (thanks to the director). -- droxford
Totally agree on all points, especially about Anakin being a crybaby in episode II. And, III will definitely be dark. I just know it will be. The movie will easily be the best of the prequels and quite possibly top 2 out of the 6.
http://www.myonestoprealty.com/starwars.pdf Im one of the few who really liked EPII. I thought it was well done. The whole Yoda flying around with a sword thing was totally cool. The only one I liked better was Empire Strikes Back
Just saw it. It promises to be a great flick, as someone already stated, and I could have held my anticipation, but I had to see it. I get the movie release for my birthday present... I am definitely there!
WHOA!!! Heavy Spoilers there. I can't wait to see this on the big screen. I knew Mace Windu was a bad mutha'...if he could takeout Jango like he did, then there was only one way he could be taken out...and if the spoilers are correct, it is very appropriate.
If that's the case, then someone at my company has some explaining to do. Damn! Where's this leak coming from? I keep seeing and hearing about Episode III leaks from people who claim to work on "the trading cards," yet I really don't think it's anyone at Topps. WTF? BTW, I hate to admit it, but this movie does look cool.
If the only main CGI character is Grevious (besides Yoda), then this movie will be infinately more watchable than the other two, as well as automatically beating ROTJ because of the ewoks. Thus, its already a top 3 SW flick by default/storyline alone... if it does ANYTHING else... it could be top 2. Of course, I know now to NEVER get my hopes up with the pre-quels... bad dialogue, awkward character interaction, bad acting, and overuse of special effects will do that to you.
NEW STAR WARS TRAILER TO BE RELEASED IN 7 DAYS from http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/release/theater/news20050228.html (I didn't think this needed to be a new thread) I have no intention of watching that crappy OC show, but I hope to download the trailer off the net. -- droxford
Sorry, but I just can't get into the short-lived, same-old WB teen drama junk. OC... Dawson's Creek... Felicity... One Tree Hill... Summerland...Jack & Bobby .... yuk.... it's just a bunch of junk and always has been. ... (except Gilmore Girls) -- droxford
For someone who doesn't get into those shows, you sure know alot of their names. One Tree Hill? Summerland?
It's probably because he watches Gilmore Girls. I've been forced into woatching some of that stuff with my wife (Everwood, particularly) and I swear they only have commercials for their other shows. I wonder how they make any money at all.
Bingo. This is it precisely. Since wife (and I) have watched Gilmore Girls for a long time, we have, over the years, been subject to a constant barrage of these here-today-gone-tomorrow ridiculous WB teen dramas. -- droxford
