Concerning Steve Austin -- He rules. Period. Concerning Hogan, Hall, and Nash -- For thus of you suffering from Chicken Little Syndrome, consider the following: -- Professional Wrestling is a game of politics - Austin has said it, Piper has said, Goldberg has said it, Triple H repeats ad nauseum - securing a spot at the top of the card is equal parts determination, hard working, and good old fashioned politicking. You say Hall, Hogan, and Nash are politicians and backstabbers, I say they're no different than the Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H, or the Undertaker. Ever hear the story about Triple H lobbying for a Jericho depush (a while back)? Howabout Stone Cold's refusal to work with Billy Gunn? Politics in wrestling pre-existed Nash, Hall, and Hogan, and will exist long after they're gone. Do you think Stone Cold will simply buckle and allow Nash and co to slip into his spot? Do you think the Rock will? Or Triple H? Unlike the WCW, the WWF already has established, marketable stars in its system who for the most part seemed to be well respected by their peers. The trio will have to earn their spots. Anyways, the three of them are proven draws and solid performers....and all three very capable of working the mic, a skill that seemes to be sorely lacking in the WWF as of late. In all honesty, I'd much rather watch the three of them then Dudley Boys or the Zoo Crew.
SCH is very right about the politics of it. Which makes some of the exits in the Rumble that much more surprising. And I like Austin, too. But the 'what'ing is going on borderline annoying and stupid now.
If you guys caught Smackdown tonight, McMahon was talking to somebody (face not shown) about restoring the WWF and bringing down Flair. Do you think its Hogan? The article mentioned that the next PPV is No Way Out (NWO). Is it time?
I thought he was talking to himself? And isn't the NWO back since he had it on the back of his chair? Talking bout injecting poison??
Oh I must have missed the chair. All I saw was he was talking, and the announcers were asking "who is he talking to?" etc...
Can someone explain to me exactly why Jericho deserves such a huge push everyone claims? He sucks on the microphone and his finisher is an awe-inspiring Boston Crab... And am I the only person in the world that hates the Hardy Boys?!?! I mean, I thought that professional wrestlers were supposed to be swole and have at least an ounce of charisma. I'm sorry, 160-pounders moonsaulting off the turnbuckles just aren't impressive... Thank goodness for the Rock.
HOgan vs Rock was rumored to be at wrestlemania. I really want Goldberg to come in. Jericho was at his best as a bad guy in wcw. His run in the wwf has been mediocre. I like Booker T alot.
