The camera on the One series (I know the X at least) is way better than the Nexus, and just as fast. Otherwise, off the top of my head, I think it has a slightly faster processor. I am waiting until Sprint's version of the One X comes out (Evo 4g LTE) even though I could get a Nexus today. The newest Evo is FAR superior to the Nexus.
The HTC one has a much faster processor than nexus, in some things 2x faster. Should be faster than most quad core processors. From what I read S3 is going to go 4x a9 which is not better than than qcomm krait. When Samsung or apple comes out with their a15 chips that is when something will compete with the HTC one S. Of course the apple gpu is still way better than than anybody else at the moment.
Sweet. I know basically nothing about processors. The One X and the One S have the same processor, no? I haven't really looked at the One S.
I think anyone who gets a new phone in the next couple weeks that is not a Nokia Lumnia 900 is nuts. Honestly, it's best phone I've ever owned. Even if you have to deal with AT&T's service it's worth it...
I'm a little bothered by the fact that you won't get Windows Phone Apollo on that. I guess you're a beta tester too (I'm referring to that commercial before someone takes that the wrong way). it's a beautiful phone though. How's the battery life on that? I like the One X a lot, and yes, any processor seems to be better than that POS TI Omap 4460 in the Nexus (They should have went with Exynos). I'm already ready to give up the Nexus since I find unforgivable flaws in every device I've ever owned. It's still a great phone, but it's not what I thought it'd be. However, for me. I'm done with anything new until they start putting 3300mah batteries (like the Razr maxx) in more phones. I can sacrifice an SD card slot and a removable battery
Would cost me $249 to upgrade. The One X is the best phone I've ever seen. The other ones in the range, the S, V etc are forgettable. Don't bother upgrading unless it's to a One X. Light Great screen Great camera Much sleeker interface than the cartoony ipod
This is not what I wanted to hear. I finally pulled the trigger on replacing my old Verizon thunderbolt and went with the $399 unlocked gsm nexus direct from google and will be heading for a t-mobile prepaid plan. Did I make a mistake? It will definitely be much cheaper in the long run.
Saw it mentioned in a few threads I think, but if anyone has a LG G2X and won't be upgrading for a while, definitely check out CM7 for it (or CM9 for that matter, although it is a bit less stable I believe). I installed it immediately when I got mine, and I don't think I've had any of the problems reported here. Pretty good for the most part. I guess you'd have to feel comfortable doing it, but it might beat all the crashing/random shutting down (unless those have been completely fixed in that update). Of course, I'll be ditching it soon for one of these new devices. Probably GSIII, but we'll see. It will need to support T-Mobile's band (I love my <$30/month plan), which probably won't be a high priority for a lot of manufacturers.
I have found that following the smartphone market, and all the new things coming out whenever and for whatever carriers... it's, well, a losing proposition. A lot of you guys are really on top of it though, so I will ask here: On June 1st, I will be eligible for the full credit upgrade ($150) with Sprint, to upgrade from my EVO 4G to something maybe a little more 'peppy'. I don't necessarily expect to do an upgrade that very day, but what is coming down the pipe somewhere in that time-frame which would be a clear upgrade? Someone mentioned that the HTC One is coming to Sprint and named as some kind of new EVO? Is that true for sure? Any idea when? Is it all hinging on LTE? I am shaking my head at all the complexity and variables... All I want is a great phone, and one that I won't be kicking myself over because I didn't wait a few weeks for the better one.. I feel like the EVO 4G has been a good device, but after almost 2 years I can feel it really sagging, Thanks for talking about all this stuff, guys..
No, you didn't make a mistake at all. This is the official US version of the Galaxy Nexus labeled as "takju" and it comes with Google Wallet pre-installed. You will also get Android 4.04 The phone is great, I just can't seem to sustain my happiness with an Android phone after about 3 months. I think I need a Galaxy S3 lol
Not necessarily, I have a lot of phones that I usually just trade up for. Or, I'll just sell/trade my current device for something else. Oh, and I still have an upgrade available on my Verizon line that I've never used so I'll probably be saving that for something worthy. I just can't stand contracts though.
who here has this phone already? I want this phone or the unlock Galaxy Nexus. I currently have a LG Gx2 and a SideKick 4g.
I bought the One S today and love it so far, but really haven't run it hard yet. The camera is spectacular compared to my LG G2X.
