HS Softball Coach wanted on child sex assault charge, kills self

Wow, he was one of my teachers back in high school.

Surreal.

 

As a former varsity asst softball coach, I can say, from experience, that this can easily happen. I've had to, on more than one occasion, turn girls away, but there was never a question of me taking advantage of any of these girls.

 

Hypothetical here but: It would be ok to just wait till the girls graduate to talk to them like that right? Is that a thing, or do the girls just like the idea of manipulating a coach for the sake of whatever?

 

I don't see why that would be a problem in two adults talking after the student graduates, but it might raise some eyebrows. However, I know of coaches that have married former athletes.

I couldn't imagine what is going through these girls heads when they act this way. I can say that my words never left anything open to interpretation.

 

I'm guessing hormones and a father figure that don't treat them like children?

That's why the responsibility is on the adult to act appropriately.

It was like that scene in 'Wild Things' when the girls came over to wash their teacher's car and had a wet t-shirt contest. Dang, Falcons Talon is da man. Good thing it didn't devolve into a murder mystery ending with the bad girl drugging your drink beverage and dumping you off the yacht while taking it all. And, you missed out on that whole hotel room scene with the guy and the two bad girls.

It never ceases to amaze me how teachers abuse their position of authority...and then cop out in the end after they get caught by taking their own lives. At least Falcons Talon thought it through and is to be commended.
