Police shouldn't be able to keep anything they seize.

all big cities are moving to blk n whites.... the uniforms are actually going dark blue shirts u will see it slowly.. they have changed the pants to a cargo type. The CRU (crime reduction unit) are currently wearing the new navy blue shirts n cargo pants...LAPD style uniforms. The city wanted to change the badges to LAPD style but it was voted down by officers....

almost all undercover vehicles are or were sized.. inorder for the City to seize a vehicle it has to meet a criteria; miles on the vehicle, age, and value.....

Black and white cars are cheaper because they usually come like that from the factory. Very minimal paint modification would be required and the city would save money.

I always thought the uniforms seemed rather uncomfortable...I can't imagine trying to chase someone down wearing it, especially the shoes.

Do you know if they changed the material of the new shirts? Maybe something like nike's dri-fit?
