Sure the young comitted a crime but I don't think the beating was warranted. I think is is horrible that HPD would do this to a 15 year old kid.
Well it was the gang unit, so I'm pretty sure they thought this kid was some gangbanger and decided to give him a hell of a beating. Either way, 8 police officers shouldn't be using excessive force on some little skinny kid, even if he ran. A quick taser shot and cuffs would have done the job.
Breaking news in Hong Kong. A senior Chinese Commisioner was beated and arrested by HPD (Patrol) INSIDE China Ambassy Office in Houston. It was reported that the Commissioner was driving a car without car plate and was stopped by the patrol. He ignored the police, drove back to the Ambassy Office and the police followed him then arrrested him. I can't find relavant reports from chron.com or click2houston. It will be interesting tomorrow morning (Houston time) I guess.
