http://rootzwiki.com/topic/18843-releasealpha2-cyanogenmod-9-touchpad/ Netflix works now. Also. AOKP is getting HAWT
I finally bought a new case. The old one I got had a few drawbacks, still decent, but I wanted something more substantive. If any of you guys want my old case (free), you're more than welcome to it. If you can't come get it, I'll ship it to you if you make a 5 dollar donation to the tip jar.
So how is this latest build compared to the final CM7 they were working on? I mean, in terms of functionality and compatibility? I am still on CM7 on the Touchpad, and I like it, it's solid, I would say it's compatible with around 95% of what I like to do with it, and so I have not been all that eager to jump into early releases of CM9.. Any thoughts on it so far?
I don't have a Touchpad. I usually test out the builds on a friends Touchpad and/or look at the Github changes. Looks like the latest build was mainly for video playback issues so it might take another couple of builds to get it more stable. A lot of users choose to remain on CM7 for now so I might just do that. However, I'll test out the latest build when I get a chance along with the latest AOKP build and let you guys know how it is
I'm still using Alpha 0.5, and it has been pretty usable for me. Biggest complaints were video playback, but looks like they have most of that working now. Might be some apps that don't work, but I haven't really noticed. I've just been using it for web browsing and watching videos primarily. If it is less stable/usable than CM7, it probably isn't by much (plus all the usual ICS goodness). My mom still has CM7 on her TouchPad, but I'll probably put CM9 on it now. Didn't want to put one of the early versions on it, but these latest versions look pretty good. Has anyone tried the Cornerstone implementation on the TouchPad? I think there was a build/implementation for that. Looks cool, but I didn't really want to mess with it until the future of that is decided.
Is about as stable as CM7 (which is a good or bad thing), but is a lot nicer and smoother. It doesn't have that sluggish feel like CM7 did. I'd say it's worth upgrading especially now that the CM team is fully committed to ICS.
I also got the same Acase touchpad case, replacing the similar ipod case i tried to modify to fit the touchpad. The Acase is much better.
Running latest build of cyanogenmod 9. Been watching netflix for six months. Updated netflix last night now it wont play. Wtf?
I mainly use my touchpad as a pandora radio player. Still has one of the best speakers on a tablet that I have heard I am still running the original os on it as well
It easy easy to add Android and you don't lose WebOS. That way you have the best of both worlds , since you can get all the Android apps plus you can boot up WebOS when you want a specific WebOS app or to use Skype.
