6500+ angry people writing negative reviews of your business on the interwebs can have quite an impact on your future business.

 

All they have to do is change their name sadly.

 

It will hurt them once the ratings come in on ebay. The negatives are slowly trickling in.

Datavision was my last chance, now that my other four retailers cancelled.

 

I'm right with you there. I went through that OnSale crap also. Now DataVision thinks that giving out this bogus 20% off coupon will help mend things.

I'm caving in and paying in pain at ebay. I do plan on getting my money back if I get my hold on HP or end up getting the Amazon tablet if it is the real deal. Checking out the market here in DR I figured I can at least break even afterwards.

You know, this could all be an elaborate scheme to create massive demand for the touchpad and save webos from dying.

But then I realize HP isn't smart enough to do that.

 

I wondered if that was going on, because they lose millions but they gain plenty of webOS users and developers in the process. But if that were the case, I think we would have heard something by now.

 

Well, I have two ordered from HP Small Biz (ordered early Sunday morning before the alleged cutoff date) and two from Lawson Electronix.

One is for my wife, one for my sister. If I end up with the other two I will start a thread on clutchfans and sell them at cost (perhaps picking a random post number to those interested).

There is a good chance I don't end up with one at all. We'll see. No cancellation notice from HP but no ship date either.

Reading the slickdeals forum, I think it's hilarious about how people are freaking out about having to potentially wait a few weeks for a $600 tablet that they bought for $150.

 

I finally have a little bit of good news. HP just put my CC in pending status again. I had it in pending status, then the charges totally disappeared, they are back today! :grin: Hopefully that means they are about to ship the thing.

 

Same here. I called about something else to my CC and they told me there is a pending charge for authorization. Hopefully my order squeaks through....

 

Got my case in today. Thanks for the info! Its not an exact fit but for the price it can't be beat.

 

same here, FedEx dropped it off today, it would be hard to get a better case for this thing, its awesome, built-in stand, feels very solid and well made, many thanks for the heads up..
