I think you'll have more then 2 minutes. I'm guessing at least 30 minutes, probably more. HP's site is going to get hit hard, it'll slow down to a crawl where only a handful of orders will get through at one time. Its why HP's small business site lasted until monday morning. Just gotta be patient and keep refreshing if your order doesn't go through. I'd make an account ahead of time and enter in all your info so you have less info to process on the site.
don't count on getting in two minutes. It took me hours to get in Sunday. The site is not designed to hand this level of traffic.
The rumor going around HP is that there are a bunch more in the supply chain and sales channels that haven't gone out yet and that if you keep watching over the next couple of weeks you'll see them show up here and there (especially on the HP website).
I havent gotten an email from Amazon yet, nor has my order been updated. Can you explain what "you can see your status" means?
not a rumor, I posted the link a few pages back from precentral talking about the back supply still in HP's warehouses. everyone having trouble now, just be patient, HP won't be cranking the prices back up, they want all inventory gone.
in the "your orders" section of amazon, there should be "view order details" link under the date you placed your order. That should have been updated with a order number from OnSale. You can enter in that number at Onsales order status page
DonnyMost, what time did you order on Sunday and which version, 16 or 32 gb? Mine has been "Shipping Soon" for ages with no cancellation email or anything, were you in a similar boat? I ordered at 4:15 pm CST on Sunday which I've heard is not good enough....but I haven't gotten a cancellation yet so I have a glimmer of false hope
You might want to check your spam folder for a possible cancellation. I made an order through Microcenter. The order I placed was received and sent to my regular mail folder. However the cancellation e-mail was sent to my Spam folder. Oddly enough the the newsletter which I don't remember signing up for went to my regular mail folder.
My wife and her sister were able to pick up a few today at the BestBuy in the Woodlands. Not bad at all for the price!!
