    HP is dropping the hardware division which includes tablet and pc. However they are planning to update webos and most probably license the os to other hardware manufactures.

    I think for $99 this is a great deal. I got one as well. I think the webos is good but it will lag behind in apps. I think we will likely see android on this hp touchpad hardware.

    Got one early on, right at 9PM. 16GB but doesn't need to do a whole lot just sit next to my iPad 2 most of the time.

    I went out to my local walmart they had 2 of the 32gb I bought one at the full price and will go back today to get the price adjusted. Crazy how quickly people are flocking to get these now glad I went yesterday before news hit a lot of sites.

    Best buy I read is not going to sell their units but will return all their units to HP

    i don't know much about these things, saw commercials advertising touch pads for $399 from HP. what's the difference?

    They were originally over $500, but HP is pulling out of the market and cutting their losses. Webos (lol) is its OS, not android or apples software.

    I believe there is a webos app in the works that let's you run android apps.

    yeah, i saw that on cnbc, but i was wondering why they were still running the commercials. i saw the commercial after the other thread saying they were going for $99

    this is incredible btw

    My best guess is they wanna keep the name out there til they sell out, or they might've prepaid all their TV slot time before they knew they were dropping out of the market.
