A team can never have enough quality depth. Last year, the Rockets suffered because Francis was injured half the time. If the Rockets can sign someone who has starting experience, a skill-set that helps the team, and doesn't mind backing up, the Rockets would be foolish not to sign him. However, none of the free agents have really impressed me, so it is IMO that the Rockets should just stand pat.
That feud between Jim Jackson and Jason Kidd wasn't over just a woman... it was over Toni Braxton! Now *thats* worth feuding over... Seriously, while such a feud was well reported and supposedly Kidd demanded a trade over it, Jackson was later quoted that there was no such feud (and there wasn't a feud over a women) and that he and Kidd were friends. Jackson played for a horrible team in a horrible situation (GSW, as part of the trade that got rid of Joe Smith) and played well for GSW. In fact, Jackson seems to have played well at most stops in his career. He does have a rep for being a loner in the locker room though...
Allan Houston? I wish I had the formula for whatever he takes that lets him dissappear in big games so much... I would bottle it and sell it at the concession stand nearest the Rockets cheerleaders dressing room...
actually, if Rox 'need' to sign someone, sign Naillon for 3 yrs starting at the 1.4...great insurance, great future trade chip (either him or someoine else with LN moving up with PT).
xiki--Nailon is a restricted FA, and the Hornets would definitely match an offer starting that low. The only way we'd get Nailon is if we offered him our MCE (or at least close to it).
if Jim Jackson came to the Rockets, they'd have two Ohio High School Mr. Basketballs. The other being Jason Collier. Just thought I'd toss that out. I'm sure most Rockets fans would like to add the current Ohio Mr. Basketball to their roster next year....
Where did Jackson play H.S. ball? I'm from Elyria and went to OSU. How about Collier? I've always liked Jackson, he probably could help the Rockets. His baggage must be in the way...
I meant if talent was not an issue. Just personalities. Of course Kidd is a much better player then Jim.
