I say do it. I can't hurt too much.

And as far as who to cut...cut Landry. Give him a chance to actually play on a team that will use him instead of lettin wastin a year of his career by not even activating him.

Chris Webber is just another Steve Francis than want to jack up shots and taking away Yao and Tmac's. Now you wonder why Pistons doesn't want him back? Exactly!

Who do you cut? I might cut Landry in favor of him, but def not SF3, Brooks, or Novak. He would have to accept a limited role though, because he is THE defensive liability, and I'm not sure Webber wants to take a pay cut to do that. The Rockets look like good fit for him on paper, because imagine him added to that second unit. Bonzi, MJ and Webber off the bench could really put points up in a hurry on teams without depth.

He can probably still score and pass to some degree, and could be effective as a spark off the bench, but he will be a Piston or nothing at all.

As i said, i wouldnt p[ay him anymore than the vets minimum. He tunred down big money in europe and signed for the vet min last year with detroit. I dont think money is an issue for him. He wants to win, hence signing with detroit last year.

He is like Eddie Jones, he jinxes his teams from winning championships, but as soon as you trade him, his former team wins championships (Lakers, Heat).

The only way I say we get him is if we move both Kirk Snyder and Novak. Then I'd take him right after we snap up Mike Harris.

I want Harris over anybody else out there available right now.

We need to see Scola, Hayes and Landry develop into more veteran players. I think that going up against Yao and Deke is plenty sharpening. We just don't need him. Did you see how we rebounded and how sharp the defense was last night?

Let's keep the young guys developing.

If the Rockets didnt get Scola, I'd bet he'da gotten serious consideration for a roster spot.; As it stands now, don't really need him.

That said if it was a choice between Francis and Webber, Francis has more game left in his body, but Webber would probably have more effect on the team (as of today)

Can you imagine a Webber rested for the playoffs, a rested Francis for the playoffs, bench Webber, Francis, Bonzi, James, Scola, that would be killa against any team. Love Webbers game face, Francis heart, James game face and heart. Nobody would want any part of that.
