One will be enough with Dirk. The way he plays he can be a great second option for another 3-5 years. If I'm Dwight I trust my career to Cuban because he will have your back till the end.

[rQUOTEr]Among the many complications here is that any and all hopes of landing Lakers center Andrew Bynum -- the best big man in the league to fill the Howard void -- appear to be dashed because of Howard's view of the Lakers.

Close friends of Howard say he was, in fact, informed that Bryant sees him as a second or third option on a championship-caliber team if he came to Los Angeles. And while the stance has its merits on the surface, it simply didn't help matters to engage in any sort of alpha dog discussion if that's what indeed went down. The Buss family that owns the Lakers, in turn, is said to be irked by Bryant's alleged role in the matter and hopeful that Howard -- who they see as the business and basketball draw for the next decade -- can still be convinced otherwise. But Howard's focus, one source close to him insists, was on the Nets regardless of Bryant's perceived influence.[/rQUOTEr]

For what it is worth the beat writer for the Bulls today said he has been around Howard quite a bit the last year and said he would want no part of him on his team for what it would cost. Said Howard didn't work hard, lacked focus and wasn't a good leader. Just one guys opinion but he was adamant about it.

Interesting. Judging by Howads improved offensive game the last two years I would say he has to have some type of work ethic.

The Lakers should get rid of Kobe to accommodate Howard, just like they got rid of Shaq to accommodate Kobe.

Everyone takes care of their players while they're there, the stars always get special treatment (just see how houston treated yao), being a douche though can kill any good will there.

It could still not be a hard work ethic...with his natural athleticism and size, he really just has to work out, as in go to the gym, to be an all-star in this league. That could definitely explain why he's more of a defensive player than offensive. Defensively, you can be pretty good with athleticism alone.

He's crazy to think he should be the #1 when he can't even average 25 a game being #1 on a weaker team.

This guy pines so hard to one-up Jordan with every stat. Even if he somehow racks up 7 rings to MJ's 6, the fact remains that Jordan is the GOAT and no one but the biggest Kobe fanboys under 22 years old will ever seriously entertain the comparison.

The guy isn't so desperate to join the Durant/Westbrook like LeBron did. Goat or not, he's an all time great and overachiever.

If the Lakers miss out on Dwight Howard, will Kobe fire himself?

Exactly. Those videos of him training with Hakeem are hilarious. His footwork and balance are pathetic in comparison. He wouldn't be a first option in Houston... Or anywhere.
