I believe the Nets can sign Howard this summer without a trade. Best case scenario for them is to add a high lottery pick to DH and D-Will.

But people need to stop all this speculation. Those 2 teams are the only 2 teams who have a legit chance at Dwight. Otis Smith needs to make it happen already.

I (and probably Otis Smith) agree there are only two teams left: Nets and Magic. I don't think Howard really wants to go to Dallas. I bet the Brooklyn Nets are far and away his preference but won't completely rule out his returning to Orlando.

Dude's earned his pecking order by being I dunno, THE BEST BIG MAN IN THE NBA?

Maybe Dhoward should remind Kobe of all the 20-20s hes had.

The article is full of crap. There is no way Kobe's pitch would be that stupid.

I just don't see him returning to Orlando after throwing his teammates under the bus recently. There are reports that sports radios in Orlando are done with him.

IMO, then you can pencil him in to the Nets. I don't buy the Mavs talk.

Nets are the more likely team for Dwight. I'm saying if this leads into free agency in the offseason, Dallas does have enormous cap space to land both Dwight AND Dwill.

Those 2 will play on the same team.

But I do agree with you that if Dwight really wants to go to the Nets, it would help his and the Nets' causes if he signs with them in the offseason,

If anything, Stern blew it to give his stepson in south beach a boost.

He would be kobes rebounder for them to get along.

Side note: I like how Kobe jacks up a lot of 18ft fadeaway shot contested by a 6'9 player and nobody says **** but Pau takes a 7 ft fadeaway with a smaller defender and they go ham on him.

When Kobe's still the scoring champion in the league, DH is not gonna be the man in the team if he joined Lakers. Simple as that. But I don't think Kobe envisions DH being the 3rd option. Bynum is the 2nd option in lakers this season, not Gasol, who's never a great 1on1 player to begin with. Kobe wouldn't mind DH assuming Bynum's role. The article is obviously full of bull****.

He does not use the regular hook shot that much...... Watch Shaq discredit him night in night out

He has the Georgetown jump hook, some post up moves, spin moves and that was all, tip ins, dunks

He does not have a Jumper.

If its true it means he's mentally weak. Good luck trying to get out of the East while going up against Melo/Amare, Rose & Co & the Miami Clowns

    No they don't.

    Dirk - $21MM
    Marion - $8.6MM
    Haywood - $8.3MM
    Beaubois - $2.2MM
    Jones - $1.2MM

That gives them $41MM in salaries next year with $33MM if they amnesty Haywood or Marion. That is not close to enough to sign two max players.

I hope Howard signs with new jersey because If he signs with LA then the nba wouldn't become watchable anymore because every team is becoming a super team

Good catch. They can sign one of them to a max deal, and work out a sign-and-trade for the other. But it has to be in the offseason.
