I would love to see Howard on the Lakers. I believe that most L.A. fans will probably be boasting on their boards on how Howard is this immense talent and that they are so glad to have him. While most of us know that he is just plain old. If we can steal an Odom away from them for just plain Howard then I'd be even happier. I have a feeling we are just stuck with him. We need help at PF and badly.

I think he heard something and felt he could contribute to our community and posted it.

I'm speaking from plus-minus, Roland rating, and fair vs. actual salary perspectives. Howard has a fair salary worth .85 million, whereas he actually gets paid 6. That is horrible. That puts him at the bottom 20% of the NBA. His roland rating is -5.5, which is just dogone aweful. If you look at his plus-minus, every team he's played for has played a whole lot better when he's off the court. There's a reason why Howard has moved from team to team and rarely makes the playoffs. He's been once in his career to the playoffs on a very deep Dallas team (not going to count Houston since he was injured pretty much the whole 2nd half).

In any case this is a terrible trade for rockets. What are we getting? Cook is the only interesting piece in this and he is at best a 10mpg complimentary player who can knock shots and nothing else. McKie is D-O-N-E. Mihm is an overrated stiff, who can't play alongside Yao.

We are giving an old pro in Howard who knows the system and can still produce (unless he has decided to pack it in). Luther is probably our second best guard after Skip. You know what you are getting with him, while the same cannot be said about Snyder, Sura, V-Span and Lucas.

If the rockets do this it would be just to get rid of their obligations under Howard's contract as all the Lakers are free agents. This would be the worst move of the offseason.

If we get Vujacic instead of McKie and take away the 2nd round pick, then I'd do it.

    Why?
You think Les will bring down the ticket prices if we do?

Isnt it amazing with no sources and no indication besides a made up rumor from club lakers that people here will believe anything whatsoever, even if its trash?

This same topic has been locked numerous times and nothing still.

I keep telling you noone in Los Angeles is talking about this bogus made up rumor. Mihm and Cook both just had surgery, just had it, but the rush to get rid of Juwan has turned into delusion on the boards.

Some troll posts garbage that you still havent confirmed a source for, or even found a hint of (not on real lakers boards at least, not this garbage being quoted) and people are still running with it. Just wow.

Nobody actually believes it's going to happen. But everyone on this board loves the idea of getting rid of Juwan, that's why this topic is generating discussion.

I believe it could happen and frankly I believe that the Rox are shopping Juwan hard in some kind of trade just like this for salary relief and the opportunity to convert their TE to a new TE. This deal is being talked about because it makes some sense for both teams, especially if we throw in Head. I would be willing to bet it has been discussed at length and the teams are having trouble coming together on all the side pieces. LA probably wants a first rounder included and we are saying no, while we are wanting a guard back like Vujacic and/or we are wanting to dump Rybo in the deal too and they are saying no to that. It would not surprise me one bit if that is the essence of the deal. Plus, both teams may have other deals working that they are trying to complete contingent on what they pull out of this trade.

For this thread not to have been locked by now it makes me think that there is a good chance of this one going down.

heart of the matter the 4 spot is the weakest on this team by a long shot, we dont even have any young player that could maybe step into the role unless chuck Hayes makes leaps and strides this year.

It could be because he doesn't want another thread to pop up about the same thing after the other 2 or 3 were locked or he just didn't get around to it and decided to let it go.

oh and ditto on the remarks about McKie. He's done, and please let us have our 2nd rounder, we're GONNA need it down for next year. Even if it's a 2nd.

    lol

    Odom for Howard? lol

They wouldn't trade him even if we put in Head and Novak.

I would be happy for any trade with Howard if they meet one of the ff:

    1. Expiring contracts
    2. Promising Rookie roleplayer/s which have some trade value(like Luther trade value)
    3. plainly better PF for the system
