First off, Wesley needs to quit shooting like a fehg, and hit some shots for once. Weatherspoon needs to lose about 200 lbs to get into playing shape, and Vin Baker needs to put down the bottle. We might just have the worst power forward situation in the NBA right now.

Or he's 6'7'' and scared of playing defense.

But never let the facts get in the way of a good whine.

Might?!!!! You can't find a playoff or even a non-playoff team with worse PFs in the league!

It is nothing short of an emergency situation we have to deal with somehow

Guys, hate to say it, but time to push that panic button:(

You're probably right. We have a 3-headed monster of guys who are marginal NBA players at best.

    NikeStrad and others,

My bad. Big Dog is 6'7", not 6'10" or 6"11. He's still better than what we've got now. And we really do look likewe're going to be the 7th seed.

Does anybody here really think we'll beat San Antonio without Howard?

Frankly? I don't think Duncan will be healthy or effective come playoff time, they will try to rush him back and he won't be ready and he will reaggrevate it again. Without a fully healthy Duncan (Of course, I know the Rockets are having their own shares of injuries as well) I am not too worried about the Spurs. It might be better to meet them in the first round if they are banged up, they will still be tough (as we al know), but they might not have what it takes in a 7-game series to knock out some of the talented teams in teh West.

So 7th seed ain't too bad. I just think that making the playoffs period is our priority now, although if I had my choice it would be either 6th or 7th.

I still don't think Howard would have made a huge difference in our post season. Why?

First Howard after the all star game was playing decent for us. He was scoring a bit and getting some rebounds. He wasn't destroying the league or anything but played decent.

Second if Howard was allright and did come back exactly the time for our first game in the playoffs, how much time would he need to get in shape and play like he did after the allstar break?

Hell he took all of the first half of this season to play decent ball and get rebounds, just how many games would he need to get in shape to contribute to our success just before the injury -in the post season.

The argument goes the same for Tim Duncan. TD will probably not make the (before the injury) impact on the Spurs game in the playoffs until probably the second round possibly the third coming from a leg/anckle injury (same as Howard) and TD is way better the PF than howard.

By the time Howard can play at the same level like he did before the injury the Rox would probably be golfing.

In the end Howard coming back for post season or Not will not make any difference unless we are able to get into the 3rd round and by then why would we need him that bad anyways?

It is indeed unfortunate that Howard is hurt but look at it this way....

There is a viewpoint now among Rockets fans saying "Man, the Rockets miss Juwon Howard."

Well this viewpoint shows how far away the Rockets are from being great.

Championship level teams don't miss a Juwon Howard. He's not even a starting 4 when he is healthy.

We still need an upgrade at the 4 in the offseason.

Well to state the obvious, the Rockets playoff outlook looks a lot dimmer than it did just 2 weeks ago. I just hope the team can still get its act together and make it to the second round.

Get well soon Juwan...we will need you next season.

You're saying there's a hot, new Bolivian prospect we can bring in at PF? What's his name? What have you heard?
