I could see JVG trading one of JH and MoT this season or offseason. Kurt Thomas has been mentioned already. Another possibility could be Donyell Marshall who will be a free agent after this year.

Marshall would be a great pick up. Although I haven't seen any Toronto games so I don't know about his defense. All we need is a Boozer-type of players...sans the moral issues. Someone that can rebound and score on putbacks.

I think Marshall would be perfect. Didn't he average like 10.7 rebounds a game after going to the Raptors? Also, he has shown the ability to hit the 3 consistently, and that would spread the floor. I also think he's coming off the bench for Toronto this season, so maybe he can be had.l

I replied to a guy who wanted someone who can rebound and put back shots.

Come on dude, you know Cedric Ceballos right?

Both of them are very difficult to move with the contracts that they have. I'm afraid that we're stuck with these two.

They are not shooting the ball well now, but over their careers both of them have been high-percentage shooters. I think that they are still adjusting to the new team. Both of them are capable of scoring 15 ppg. I actully would like to see Juwon start over Mo (althought he will need to start to make some shots). I just don't like Mo's oh-so-obvious fouls and his lack of rebouding ability/effort.

Our PF position will be a weak point, especially in the WC where there are so many elite PFs. Both Mo and Juwon need to get better on defense. They can not allow their man to get by them. Yao doesn't have particularly good lateral quickness, and he will likely get into a lot of foul toubles trying to play help defense when opposing PFs get by Mo or Juwon.

This team is not complete as it is. We'll add more pieces in the future. For now we just have to play with the hands that we're delt.

i'm familiar with Cedric Ceballos the slamdunk cheater/winner and the guy that dropped 50 points for the Lakers in one game. Never heard of Cedric Ceballos the rebounder

How come you always bring up guys that have been out of the league for years. Have you been in a coma this whole time.

Or maybe you're actually this guy:

Jerome Williams anyone? The Knicks already have Thomas, Sweetney, and Vin Baker. I bet we could Acquire Williams in a three way deal. The Knicks gave up alot to get Marbury and I'm not sure if Nazr Mohammed is the answer at center. The Bulls have a log jam in the front court with Nocioni and Deng breaking out early.

    Rockets get Jerome Williams
    Knicks get Antonio Davis
    Bulls get Juwan Howard

Rockets get energy, rebounding and toughness with Williams. In other words, they get what they've been missing without Cato and Taylor goes back to that punch off the bench. The Knicks get better and veteran leadership out of Davis. Juwan Howard gets to go home back to Chicago and start for his home town team. Here's how the Starting lineups would look....

    Rockets Knicks Bulls
PG Ward PG Marbury PG Hinrich
SG McGrady SG Houston SG Gordon
SF Jackson SF T. Thomas SF Nocioni/Deng
PF Williams PF K. Thomas PF Howard/Chandler
    C Yao C Davis C Curry

    What do ya'll think?

dude was the garbage man, he always put back missed shots (a put back is technically a rebound and shot).

One of the anouncers from Sactown (darn you NBATV) said something interesting about the MoT-Howard situation. They were talking about Yao and Deke, and how you don't really see a drop-off defensively when Deke comes into the game. They said the same thing about Howard. There's not a real drop-off when Howard subs for Mo, which is a good thing.

I know everybody is begging for a banger, but we're not going to be able to trade either of our PFs for anyone with the same level of all-around skill as we have now. Plus, PF is a position that we're going to see alot of fouls being called, especially early in the season. Having two very similar players at that slot could be a benefit.

I beg to differ. I have it on good authority that the Rockets just hired this guy to bring him in:

    I wonder of Dallas would do a J. Howard/Sura for Terry/Podkolzine trade?

Of course this would have to be done at the trade deadline so Dallas can see Sura healthy. Dallas gets a low-post scorer for when Dirk is on the bench, or they can run a lineup of Dirk at SF with Howard at PF at times. Devin Harris is their starting PG ahead of Terry and getting back Sura still gives them a good backup that can play multiple positions. Plus, Mark Cuban doesn't care about contracts.

The Rockets get their starting PG and depth at C.

    Just a thought.
