Go ahead call me a hater, same person who was saying harden is MVP after blazers game, and was all in game thread getting on Lin after that weak 3rd quarter he did today
I think he had some great plays in the first half, but he seems to be hobbling along. Or you can call it casual-paced jogging? I can see how the trade-off is you can cover a lot of space with your unique size, and he is clearly active and a great anchor for defense (in general) and excellent defensive rebounder. For some reason though, it seems like it'd be helpful to add a more uptempo, energy guy like Kenneth Faried, particularly with how lethargic we looked.
Nawh really wanted my name to be Sam cassel but did my username to fast and see I can't change it, that was one of my favorite players , good joke tho
Lol, I thought the title read Harden was past his prime. A part of me believed it. He runs like my grandfather.
Dwight is a glorified Alonzo Mourning, not Shaquille O'neal. He always was and always gas been. The sooner Dwight realizes that, the sooner we can get going.
Howard and Rockets are still learning. When your top offensive player has a bad game like that it is tough to win if guys don't step up. Howard is still a beast and capable of putting up big games on anyone. Let the team have more time and we will be contenders guaranteed. I think we need to find ways to get him more involved on offense to truly show his potential and our potential with him.
Didn't Dwight just play 2 pretty good games? He's averaging 17 and 14 over a very short span right now and hasn't really been the focal point of the offense at all. That average is one point shy of his career average and one rebound more.
Swap the word Rockets out with the word Lakers instead. Sounded like same excuses LA fans kept using last year.
When he does Shaq-up and lower his shoulder and dunk over someone - the defender flops and Howard is called for a foul
His health is a lot better than it was in LA. You doubt Howard without giving him a chance this season. Howard is the best center in the game today but takes more heat than any other center without pointing out the things he has shown. He is on pace to a 17 and 14 season or better and people acting like he is a scrub. Asik was good for around 10 point 11 rebounds last season and we acted like he was a top center, but yet 17 and 14 isn't good enough? Howard will improve in our system but seriously a 17 and 14 type of center is worth max so om not going to complain. Guys need to stop gambling on passes and we would look a lot better. Perimeter defense is what is killing us.
I'm not sure it's a question of capabilities... Rebounding is partly/mostly a matter of effort, especially for an expert like DH12. Pls read the next piece of data. At the 38th minute of the game (2 min into the 4th) Dwight Howard was tied with Patrick Beverly with 4 rebounds for the night... Howard actually achieved that in more PT than Bev up to this point in the game (29 vs 27 minutes) That's effort for you. Check it if you don't believe me.
he still one of the best if not the best center in the league, but he's also definitely past his prime. if you haven't been playing at your best in over 2 years and you've been in the league for a number of years you're not in your prime.
