Howard wants a lot of touches in the post, which he 90% of the time cannot handle and Harden wants to keep doing what he does, dominate the ball etc. We've seen far less, FAR LESS, alley-oops from Harden to Howard and even when they try it fails. Harden throws it badly or Howard mistimes it etc. They have certainly lost the way to play with each other! I disagree with J.B. that guys are not willingly sabotaging each other. Nobody is helping out on defense, Howard refuses to rotate over, Harden doesn't do much, even Ariza at times just refuses. They are all sending each other a message that if you do not play team defense and help out, then I won't.
They were talking about where they want to eat after the game. Seriously Morey was perhaps talking about who he plans to trade.
There are really two issues. The first is just getting team back to where they should be, contending for the division title and in the top 5-8 teams. The second is figuring out how to close the gap between the Rockets and the top 3 contenders for which there is a major gap. This is really the major issue that the entire league if facing right now. As there is no future against Golden State without joining substantial forces. Minor changes are not likely to get it done. Major forces need to move. All in all we have plenty of talent, which not everyone has, and we are a perennial playoff team, which not everyone has. So there's a lot of good. That should not be overlooked. We took major steps to get here. It's a big deal. But things should be better. Many could live with that. So it's really just a question of are we content to be second tier or are we going to make a run at the title or are we going to rebuild around Harden with youth.
Hoping Morey makes the big move for Horford, Teague, Korver, and Hardaway Jr. If we could get all 4 of them I think it would go a long way in helping us. That being said at this point so would losing. Especially if we can get a pretty happy high lottery pick. If we make the playoffs we lose that pick.

Don't expect anything to happen until next week, with All Star Weekend upon us. Maybe detailed conversations will be held, but players won't be on the move. Frustrating team - for the 2nd straight year, PG & PF are major holes. That's on Morey.
