Still would want Dragic, Rubio or Belinelli for that other playmaker spot but would really want KPap to miraculously get NBA level handles and shooting if at all possible.

I've seen enough poorly timed turnovers and airballed 3s for one lifetime, no thanks.

    LOF's

    the return

I'd take Lin for the min, that's a steal considering we don't have playmakers

So Beck is a Lakers guy, right? Meaning he’d have some connections here to Lin.

As for signing Lin. Assuming we go over the tax because we trade for Dragic or some other expensive PG, I’d give Lin the Bi-annual and give Josh Smith the mini-MLE. But that’s about it.

It'll never happen. He didn't look any different when we played against him a few weeks ago. Fast, but no BB IQ improvements by my observation. That's kind of the exact thing we need, and he ain't got it.

I highly doubt the Lakers buy him out, but if they did, I would be happy to bring Lin back on minimum salary for the rest of this season if we can't get a Dragic or Lawson.

If we could have Lin without the crazies. Then this wouldn't be bad. Especially for a really low contract. But... I want to be able to go onto this thread without confusing it for a conspiracy forum.

He brings an additional player who at times can provide offensive playmaking. He is better than Bev but still isn't the full time starter replacement the Rockets should be looking for. I hope if we get him its for around 5 mil and a back up role to Dragic.

He is not better than Bev. Lin is a net negative on and off the court

Well, when he gets into the Hall, I hope it's as a Rocket.

One more stint here could do enough to cement that.

The reason for the LOHers was that Lin wasn't performing up to expections for an 8M (15M cap hit) player. However, if LA buys him out; he'd be a steal for 3m. This year he's 43% from the field, 37% from 3 & 77% from the line with ~ a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio all in 25 minutes. He'd be great with the headband crew & could give Harden some rest.

I'd welcome him back with open arms. LOFs are a different story.
